i guess its a matter of opinion but how is C5 better than C4 or any other carter album for that matter?
-The best tracks on 2018 C5 (except Mona Lisa) can't top C4 best tracks.
-Dark Side of the Moon, What About Me, Mess not worth to be a part of Tha Carter, but classic for Velvet.
-Don't Cry, Dedicate, Uproar are ok and nothing more.
-Hasta La Vista and Problems are just awful.
i understand why you are happy with what we got so far and understand the problems in releasing old songs but i think they could do better. Fans are not guilty that Universal/Birdman (it's always changing) screwed them in the ass.

c4 has some classic songs but is full of mid

c5 is much more consistent in quality imo
all c4 really got goin for it is the singles + Blunt Blowin, Megaman

The best tracks on C5 run a mile around the entirety of C4
C4 was wCk supa dupa 123 ABC ass bars no depth no heart no creativity just a bland ass pop album made to appeal to 12 years old and mums on there way to picking up kids from soccer practice

C5 had grit heart wayne opened up like he never did before and flexed his lyrical muscles as well dark side of moon what about me and mess are fire as shi he had song structure was hitting topics and had a authentic flow on all of those songs + other significant highlights

Yeah but if it was my music I would be like na I want this, Wayne is damn near 40 we can't make excuses for his lack of self awareness of his own music.

I been on this forum for years and defended Wayne since day 1 but this whole blame mack and tez, Sure too a extent I agree. But Wayne has more input on what goes out then what we believe. It was Wayne who didn't wanna release a whole another Carter 5 album the next day in 2018.

we leaked velvet sessions and the ogc5 that came out, thats roughly 30 songs we could have kept to ourselves that we paid for with our money but we decided to let public have for free. so when people say 'the ones vaulting are greedy', its like really? look at what we did for you guys with our own hard earned money. but people are never content.

and lmfao no i dont get street cred, but again i use my hard earned money on these, why shouldnt i keep them to myself and do what i want with them? you buy a house you gonna let your friends and randoms live with you for free? you buy a car you gonna let anyone who asks use it? absolutely not, obviously songs are different but you get my point, why should you reap the rewards of me spending my hard earned money and you walk away with your pockets full?

Well no that doesn't really make sense. Someone using your car or staying in your house directly takes away something from you. Whether it's space, utilities, miles on your car or whatever.

Letting other people listen to digital files you have takes away literally nothing from you at all UNLESS you're trying to make money off of it. If that was the case then I could understand more.

This probably sounds like I'm tryin to beg for the files or some shit but I'm really not. I'm more than happy with the leaks we got and I do legit appreciate anybody who spent money to get them for us because I know my broke ass didn't. I just legitimately don't understand the logic of keeping some of the files for yourself if you have nothing to lose for letting them out.

From where I stand it's either gotta be about money or the feeling of accomplishment/exclusivity. Either way it's cool. I'm just trying to understand it more from somebody who apparently has some unreleased music.
