I wasn't expecting any of these songs to get official acknowledgement at all.

At the end of the day this is a good thing. Official release for Scottie Pippen and LOMC plus three new songs is definitely a net win lol. No need to paint this as lackluster and disappointing only because it could be more. It can always be more. They're on the right track here should be the bottom line.
