He won the rights to every album or single he's ever released when he beat Cash Money, meaning he'd basically get all the money from them being played on radio etc. and had control over what was done with them. He sold all those rights to Universal. Idk what it means for stuff he releases in the future, I don't think free mixtapes are affected by it at all, apart from original songs that end up being singles.
