Yeah, it had a single.. it just couldn't get big (relatively).. single flopped (relatively) which lead to album flopping (relatively) is what Im saying

I guess people aren't fucking with Weeknd music as much anymore, I didn't really like this album either

The first single from After Hours was Heartless if he put the Album out right after that it wouldn’t have done the first week sales that it did.

But I think we just have different opinions on this topic. I fuck with the project, it has some great songs, but I guess I’m biased because the Weekend is my favourite artist.

he didnt put it out right after though... he gave it 4-5 months to build hype it just couldnt.

i fuck with Weeknd heavy, I been listening since Thursday was released... but this the first album I didn't really like... and judging off sales drop off it seems alot of people seem to agree

Heartless was the first single from After Hours, if he dropped the album right after that, I don’t think it would have done the numbers that it did.

The Trilogy projects are great, especially House of Ballons and I’m also a longtime fan of the Weekend.

Usually I don’t want to base my opinion on the common narrative the public has about an artist or a project I listen to. If I enjoy it, I enjoy it and it doesn’t matter what somebody else thinks. But I get what you trying to say, even if I can’t see it, you maybe right that people don’t fuck as heavy with the Weekend and the 80’s inspired sound like they used to.

Also I apologies if my grammar is all fucked up. I’m very good in understanding english, but not so good in typing or speaking it. I’m not a native speaker.

I feel that. The majority of the stuff i now about the english language comes from consuming english media and learning from things I’m really passionate about and not from teachers that tell me technical things about the language.
