For an experimental album, this is about the best you get. No other artists have the courage to do this because they know they would lose most of their fans. But for Wayne, he just tests the waters, sees how it goes, and moves on. Tha Carter IV will be what people expect to see, and it will amaze people enough that they wont care about the limited success of his rock album.
Well, ofc all you are gonna say that it's a "great cd" you are all fans. You're on a fan forum with people with the same thought as you. but, let's be COMPLETELY honest. Compared to all the other stuff you hear from lil' wayne this is pure garbage. I like one track and that's drop the world. The rest sounds rushed and it sounds off sometimes. I can say that because I listen to rock also.
Also, yes, you have to compare it to his old material because since he pushed to album status instead of a mixtape, this is basically how you have to do it.

Being completely honest, I had the leak for 2 months and it took me those 2 months til Rebirth dropped for me to constantly enjoy it. I got the album & the leak in my iPhone. I'm playing the fuck out of it as much as I played Carter 2, 3. Drought, Dedication.

Well, it's different when you cross genres. When you switch over to rock, or anything else different things play in part. In rock everything must be right, it's not like rap. in rock background, mixing, lyrics, meaning, a lot of other things play part other then just witty punchlines and a nice beat. which to be honest, all you need in rap.

Stop Defending rebirth...half of the album was ass....he should of released and E.P...and end it there.....and ppl say wayne did the album for him...no he fucking didn't...albums are personal but never for you alone....this album sorry less than 7 songs were listenable.....Drop the World, On Fire, Paradice, Running, Die For you, ....actually thats it......they album was trash ass.....Kanye's 808 and Heartbreak sold in the 400ks....because it was well planned out and overall kanye would never realease a half assed project.....

Wayne Was Tryina Do Somethin New. Ya'll Dont Like It Cusz You Listen To His Rap. This Is The First Rock Album He's Did Obviously Its Not Gonna Be Top Notch. You Guys Act Like Everything Wayne Does Is Suppose To Be FIRE. Rebirth Was A Good Album For A First Try.

Yeah but the whole experimental shit I credit Kanye. 808's & Heartbreak was from another galaxy.
I think that album influenced So Far Gone a lil..
But Weezy's Rebirth was an average 'good' CD. Like the CD you listen to and only pay attention to particular tracks.
