i highly doubt that you were the same person 3 years ago.
we each undergo our own life changes as well as environmental changes.
Even if weezy did not sell the same amount or more than the carter 3's record sales it does not make him less of an artist, it just means less people are buying CD's and just gonna download it illegally. i cant tell you how many people will download their own favorite artists CD just to have it like 2 days before it comes out and not have to pay for it. But for us TRUE fans that dont care whether or not he is on drugs, or how many records he sold, we only care about one thing and that is just that he keeps giving out music.
to be honest why would you want a tape just like the drought 3? if you want a tape just like the drought three listen to the drought 3. And finally what kind of fan are you to say that weezy is dead? a fan is a fan, no matter what an artist goes through. you cant just be a fan of lil wayne in 2005 or 2007. that is rediculous. either you are a fan or you arent. and if your not you should prolly step off the site. Yeah, homie, I get you. Sales may not matter, but I listen to his old tapes and go like "WTF?" as it sounds harder than all this current stuff out. I'm one of those who'll download, but if the CD is hot that will make me go out any buy it. I'm a fan, but does that matter to me, and the many other fans who stopped following Weezy after he jumped onto the Rock genre. I've seen many hit rappers at the spot where Weezy is at and the direction he's going to, it's never ended well. What I appreciate about the man though is his work ethic. I haven't seen anybody work that hard since Pac. This is just a blend and IMO is better than Rebirth.

Nope, C3 numbers will never be reached again. Lollipop carried the album sales because of the mainstream success, without a repeat of a song like that it won't see those numbers again. Well thats my non-biased view.

How is Lil Wayne dead? As of this week he has the top 2 rap albums on the billboard charts (http://www.billboard.com/charts/rap-alb ... rap-albums) and is also 2 out of the top 3 Rap artists (him as well as Young Money) on artist direct (http://www.artistdirect.com/artists/top100)

Considering that Wayne released the only album in the week, it's not a shocker. The album isn't a rap album though and I don't see it anywhere on top Rock charts. Don't listen to Artist Direct's chart as that as based on the amount of "clicks" how can Mike Jack be #3 and he's dead? I'm sure this prison thing is getting his a lot of attention.

Yeah I don't wanna start an argument either. And of course people that hated Rebirth aren't wrong, but the people that loved it aren't wrong either. It's all a matter of opinion. And you're right, I've never heard of that kid lol. But I doubt he'll be #1 on the billboard charts, or if he is, I seriously doubt he'll hold on to it for 4 weeks or stay in the top 2 for 10 weeks like WAYM did. It's all opinion though I guess, personally I think he's far from being dead.

As far as we know this album could flop. Sure CIII sold. Why? Lollipop was a what I like to call, "fun" song. It reached out to many artist. Can Lil' Wayne do it again? We all will never know.
