Lil wayne isn't a sell out. But he isn't the traditional old school rapper. He is a new era in hip-hop. Young Money, Lil Wayne, Drake, etc are making a new pathway for rap. Making it more mainstream. Although lil wayne does make his mixtapes and does his thing, they are shedding new light on rap. A lot of rappers like boosie and 50 cent hate on what he is doing, but they both sold out long before wayne went mainstream. Boosie has made a lot of stupid songs that have been on the radio for years. And 50 cent sold out on his first album. Theyre just jealous that wayne is more successful.

Ok ask ANY artist in general, being in the music industry, your goal is to be as big as you can be. Did Wayne sell out? No, because he's STILL hot. Meaning the music is all him.. he just didn't do a fake track then stop. Lollipop was kind of the movement to his music today. I just think he needs to make C4 real shit and a solid album.. he'll gain a lot from that.

Wayne always say, that he don't do rap, R&B, pop, blues or WTF... First and foremost he does: Entertainment. He want people to like what he does, and doesn't think of where he is. Just do what he wanna... -and that's the nice thing about Weezy! Fuck everybody else, I do me!
