  • How do u guys feel about the rapper to rocker trend?

First off, i wanna say that i liked Rebirth because it was a Lil Wayne album and it didnt matter that it was a rock genre album. It was still Lil Wayne, and it was good. Since he did that, i noticed that B.o.B has picked up the guitar and Cudi is teaching himself guitar, quitting rap, and forming a band. im not saying that i believe Cudi is really dropping rap, it could just be for some publicity or just a phase, but the band is quite real. So how do u guys feel about this rock trend? Do u think Wayne started it? Is it good/bad? Do u wanna see more? Or never see it again? Is it good for Hip Hop? Just looking for thoughts and/or opinions and some good discussion on the topic.

I love some of Wayne's rock music, & I loved Rebirth. But his rap shit is wayy better. But at Cudi trying to do rock now. He's a fucking fail.

Music is music. A true artist loves making music, in whatever form he feels like making it on a certain day.

Half of the people on here (this site) wouldn't know rock even if it was worth to where a name tag. I think if you're good at it, do it. I don't like the fact that they try to change their "appeal" hint hint. To me rebirth isn't a rock album but its a great album.

It's like a rap album over rock beats with some minor singing.
