and i guess thats also why he pushed back his album so he could spend time perfecting lines on it.
That's why rebirth was a huge success? Album sales were mostly generated due to the momentum Wayne had from C3.

He spent 2 years working on an album that he didn't think was going to sell? LOL that's smart. And he didn't spend time perfecting anything..the album leaked and the same one reappeared in stores.

same, I remember seeing something like that...

I think its because he recorded a bunch of songs and than handed it into his label and they chose which songs make the cut

Okay let me drop a knowledge bomb for you guys

Record labels do not control the music industry anymore. Artists (once they have proven their talent
and profit potential) are in a position to strike the kind of deal that fits their goals and their vision.
Drake proved his profit potential with the 600,000+ digital sales of his single “Best I Ever Had”, which
was available for free (on his mixtape So Far Gone) four to five months before it was released on

                iTunes.
Essentially Drake hired his record labels (Universal/Young Money/Cash Money/Aspire) to distribute his music in stores. Drake’s record labels do not own the masters to his music and they do not control his career, he does (with help from his management team, of course).
                Source

This of course was the distubtion rights for Drake when he signed to Cash Money/Young Money so I think it's very safe to say the creator of Young Money does what he wants if those were the terms of his deal. Even if Cortez and the CMYM management pick the songs, Wayne generally can do what he wants.
