Just wondering why Wayne made the crowd repeat back to him May 16th 3 times if it's pushed back. I don't get it, if he don't know it's been pushed back why hasn't someone told him? I do think it has been pushed back but it seems like Wayne is reassuring people it hasnt?

When Mack was talking about Pink Friday, he said that the 1st week is not as important as everyone acts like, it's keeping it going after that. So it's obviously gonna sell alot in the first week just because. But then I think they'll drop a single like a week before it comes out to make sure it stays on top for however many consecutive weeks, Plus the hype that will come with it leaking or just being out.
And CM hasn't pushed back anything they've officially told us since Rebirth. And like people said why would Wayne be shouting may 16th still?

That's just what I think.

About the date May 16th, that's a Monday isn't it? Don't albums usually come out on a Tuesday in America?

Well if were going to go by how C3 was set up ..the album was released on June 10th and the final 3rd single had come out on the 27th of May ...thats 2 weeks prior to release. So definitely a very high chance that a single will be released at the beginning of May ..

Today, we have been informed that Universal Motown, the label which distributes Lil Wayne’s albums under the Cash Money Records has been delayed by several weeks in order to help boost his sales and increase the hype over his album.
There have been several reports that after our tracklist had been leaked from a source closely linked to Universal Distribution the label decided to extend the album release date in order to increase the hype and quality of the album but that is what we have been told so that could just be the surface of rumours spreading across the Internet. The tracklist we revealed in March 29th exclusively had surfaced across thousands of blogs across the world and has been discussed among millions of people which could have been made aware of to the labels and resulted in the album being substantially changed in order to increase the hype and prevent any song leaks.
Several blogs have reported that Wayne’s album would be delayed sometime in June, which we have already discussed about with our sources however there was no definite date and our sources exclusively told us, “Universal will be expected to make a press release in the next couple of days concerning the delays of Lil Wayne’s album and whether there will be any” which means that we have no real confirmation but most likely as of now the new album release date will be June 3rd rather than May 16th when it was first announced in late February.
A person who is involved with the production of albums for rappers on the label told our source, “Lil Wayne’s album has had all the tracks completed but there’s a long waiting process by the label in order to make sure his album becomes as phenomenonal as possible and make sure the fans get what they always expect from Weezy.”

NEW UPDATE – 17TH APRIL 2011: Our sources have newer information stating that Wayne’s album will no longer expect features from Gucci Mane, Eminem, Bon Iver, Game, Tech N9ne, Jay-Z and Birdman. We do not currently have a newer tracklist available but should become available in the next few days according to our source.
