Really, overall sales is a lot more important than first week sales Kanye did a little better than Nicki first week I think (correct me if I'm wrong) but now Nicki has sold a lot more than him total so her album has been more successful.

500.000 is a good number and not out of this world nowadays.
I made the thread and became what I fear.A lot of "1.000.000" posts.Calm(youngsters).Weezy is a big name.One of the four biggest names in hip-hop right now.Eminem,Jay-Z,Weezy,Kanye(even I don't like him as a rapper he is a big name).
Eminem/Recovery=741.000 1st week sales
Jay-Z/Blueprint 3=476.000 1st week sales
Kanye MBDTF=496.000 1st week sales
Lil Wayne/Tha Carter 4=???(Μy prediction is 500.000 1st week sales).
Calm people calm.Nowadays economy is ****

it can happen, people make the economy out to be worse than it really is, Wayne has a very good possibility to reach 1 million debut week when it was the most anticipated album of 2010 and is the most anticipated album of 2011

I agree but 1st week sales is great for big names like Weezy,Jigga,Em...Do you remember at 2008 BET Awards how well Weezy felt after 1.000.000 1st week sales of C-III?

Taylor Swift isn't a hip-hop artist.As I said few albums in the history of hip-hop have sold 1.000.000 copies(1st week).
Eminem 2 times(MMLP,TES),50 cent(The Massacre),Lil Wayne(Tha Carter III).Only 4 times in the history of hip-hop.I speak about 1.000.000+(Not 900.000-950.000)

I'm not trying to start shit but the reason everyone is preoccupied with 1 million as it well to be frank 1 million. We got shows "Who want to be a millionaire', and shit so when that number is translated to other fields it becomes the benchmark for everything. Also Eminem should have had 3 albums that did a million because the Label released Encore 3 days early it only had 4 days to make 750 or so. Early this year I calculated if it had a full week to make sales it would have made 1.1 million. Ill try to find that thread.
