I'm not trying to start shit but the reason everyone is preoccupied with 1 million as it well to be frank 1 million. We got shows "Who want to be a millionaire', and shit so when that number is translated to other fields it becomes the benchmark for everything. Also Eminem should have had 3 albums that did a million because the Label released Encore 3 days early it only had 4 days to make 750 or so. Early this year I calculated if it had a full week to make sales it would have made 1.1 million. Ill try to find that thread.

No need to I remember reading that somewhere...I guess your right, we are subconsciously fooled into thinking that a million of anything should define success and even though it maybe true in most aspects of life its not true for all...Selling 800k 1st week, 650k second week, 450k third week, 300k fourth week and so on with a quality album should be held on a pedestal higher than an album that sells 1 mill 1st week and drops to 200k the second...

No need to I remember reading that somewhere...I guess your right, we are subconsciously fooled into thinking that a million of anything should define success and even though it maybe true in most aspects of life its not true for all...Selling 800k 1st week, 650k second week, 450k third week, 300k fourth week and so on with a quality album should be held on a pedestal higher than an album that sells 1 mill 1st week and drops to 200k the second...

Agreed. Like I said earlier, overall sales are more important than 1st week sales. Most important though is the quality of the music

I think regardless of how the album sounds he is gonna break gold the first week....but if he gets that "lollipop record" ( and yes he need a successful mainstream record)...he could well do closer to 600k-700k...Just my opinion...

Eh I don't know lol. It just depends. I have him going gold first week now, but you never know. Like I said, gotta hear more to estimate sales better.

Exactly when you stop and think about it, 500k is an amazing amount of numbers too. 500,000 people bought your album that is an amazing amount as well.

He did a Mil last time and in that faze sold like 3.5 just in the US? i think?

Since then hes gained more fans i expect. Economy was just as shit in 08, and in fact is on the way up anyway..

I agree, he does need a 'lollipop' single, but im sure we will get one and that Milli in one week may not be too far out of reach.

I think people will be more hesitant to buy it because his last 2 albums weren't top notch. I honestly think he should drop a mixtape or an EP. He has the features going on but hopefully he gets put on some mainstream singles and pulls out a crazy verse that everyone can enjoy.

Eminem had 741.000 1st week sales with Recovery and hate him or love him has the most fans than any other rapper ever.And you believe that Weezy will do 800.000-1.000.000?I wish.It's a major achievement if it happens.But I prefer not to kidding myself.
