That's whats so sick about him how he can manipulate lines and such to make them sound great, but he was slacking on it last summer and yea I don't know I just got that feeling again...none the less the song is amazing
I understand ya point dude. Last summer was pretty damn weak for his standards. But he's on fire now

WTF are yall talkin about his flow last summer. He was in jail.
Everything we heard last year was recorded back in Nov, Dec of 09 and Jan, Feb and March of 2010.
He was rushing his shit so I guess he got a lil bored and uninspired from recording 5 tracks a day.
And that reflected in his flow and lyrics. (Slow and boring flow + duplicate lines)

When he got out you could hear he's refreshed and hungry again.

*Setup* Like *Punchline* >>> *Setup* *Pause* *Punchline*

Not a big fan of the Stop Pause Punchlines. I think that's what's dragging Wayne down for me . Like the OP said, it abruptly changes the flow of the line.

                  Re: Lil Wayne's flow

man he's a better artist, like i heard way back from a snoop interview, that he(snoop when he was young) had to learn to put the raps into a real song , like not just spit spit spit.

i think wayne can do that now(well he's been able to) but i mean he's on EXACT point now, listen to "someone to love" a lot of rappers try to like end they're verse with the hook, wayne executed it perfectly, just an example of what i mean when he's "on Exact point" with his songs

im high my bad if you have no idea what im saying

I don't like that either really, but not because of the flow. He doesn't really "pause" before he says it. I just think it's weak lyrically and Wayne can do better than that.

The thing with Romans Revenge was he was trying to mimic Nicki's flow which was horrible to begin with so I can't blame him for that song

Only wack song, really, post jail is RR2.
WACK as fuck. Hustle Hard gave me some hope though. That sounded like old Wayne. So sick.

Honestly, he used to talk more in songs. Like not neccessarily construct his verses perfectly because they weren't written.
Now that he's writing, they are perfect and everything. Just not feeling it AS much.
