    Re: Greatest Rapper Alive

Ok I'll try to answer your question. Weezy is a very diverse artist literally thousand on songs over his career. His fans generally dispute about when his prime was, but we all agree in general that he is a good artist. The stuff that you hear on the radio is generally seen as Wayne's weaker material, apart from in 2006-8 where even features were gold. The stuff he is really valued for is the mixtapes he makes. Mixtapes like the Drought 3, Dedication 2, The drought is over 2 and no ceilings are considered by some as better than his albums.

The stuff you here on the radio is going to be the popular opinion of him. I should rephrase my statement, his tracks in general, have the same weak substance that talks about the general sex, money bullshit. His metaphors are quite weak and are literally the same.

On a side note, I thought this board would be more active.

It's the same way around for me. I dont see how people say Wayne is better than Kanye to be honest. Have you even listened to Kanye?

To be honest his metaphor game seems to be getting weaker and weaker atm, however there are a lot of really good ones.

Kanye is a good artist, I have most of his albums, however I just generally prefer to listen to wayne. You will probably disagree but Wayne is a very diverse artist. He can go from emolating a yardie accent

        YouTube - ‪The Drought 3 Lil Wayne Intro‬‏

to rapping with a reasonably fast pace from A-B

        YouTube - ‪Lil Wayne - 3 Peat‬‏

and while content may not be his strong point, delivery, sound and energy definitely are.

THe kid loves to rhyme even words that don't rhyme (stunner, stomach, rubbers, woman, dungeon, fun-ya (???), Bunyan, construction, seduction, discussion, trust ya, fuck ya, fuck ya (yup, twice), busta, touch ya, Usher, Russia, flush ya, crusher, gusher, production, abduction.) and does so seemlessly with a sort of unforced ease

        YouTube - ‪Lil Wayne - Walk It Out‬‏

I agree. Jay-Z is SO overrated in my opinion. And Kayne is alright but I'm not feelin his new stuff. Eminem is One of the best. I think it's either Wayne or Em for Best rapper right now
How the hell you aint here to see your prince do his thing?
