I loved No Ceilings but I think the only reason it's in the convo as a top 5 Weezy mixtape was because he was on so much bs previously that year. SFTW isn't top 5 either but still...........

I had actually stopped checking for his new music that June (he was still my fav tho, I just listened to his older material). Then I heard a track with Aubrey, Yeezy, & Em was dropping so I thought "He's gonna most def bring it this time", was disappointed and then I stopped checking until I heard he was dropping a mixtape. And was satisfied with that

tbh i think its the same for both sides..i dont think wayne deserves a lot of the hate he gets..but i also think he doesnt deserve a lot of the praise either...of all his time in the rap game i would say he only had about a 2 year period when he was coming into the mainstream that he could do no wrong..that was his swag...now not only his raps...but his whole flow and persona just feels stale and boring....dont be suprised if wayne dissapears from the game for a while after C4

lol Ok you got a point. I ain't sayin old wayne didn't have his slips either, but for the most part, that dude was UNSTOPPABLE. For me, old wayne is 07-09, no ceilings bein his last real drop. I wasn't really around for his carter 2/dedication/hot boyz shit, but he was a beast then no doubt lol. carter 3 was the album I jumped on the bandwagon with. Now tell me how he go from that to IANAHB?! (I hated that shit) And that was supposed to be carter 4? lol After that, he sorta went downhill for me, because I never used to hear him recycle his lines like he is now. (but maybe he's been doing that, I just wasn't paying attention)

yeah I get what ur saying. The stuff that has been released after No Ceilings, is what it is.. Rebirth was still on parts, lyrically a very good album..

IANAHB was leftovers and mostly crap when you compare it to your 'old Wayne'. Bill Gates was probably the best track on there. S4TW is something I like. Ofc it has its downfalls but it had promising songs too. I think its a solid mixtape but the overhype killed it for some persons.

C4 singles have been soft as baby shit tho. 6foot7foot was lyrically genious tho, but he gets alot of bad feedback about his voice, flow and the what some of you could call annoying - beat. On John he got murdered by Rozay and HTL.. is not rap.. what most of us wanted.

She will could be the best single, tbh.

And about recycling lines? Wayne has done that alot. The #1 song according to the Weezy Madness vote on the forums is I'm Me and that song just.. recycles alot. I like the way he takes his old lines and makes them better. But, each for his own.

Wayne really did rush sorry 4 the wait because he wanted to be working on the carter but he wanted to release a mixtape apoligizing for pushing back the release of the carter 4.
