I agree that the promotion has been sloppy..I think the YMCMB camp believes that b/c it's Lil Wayne that it will sell..we'll see... now as for sorry 4 the wait, it got just as many downloads if not more than NC,D2,D3...just look at how many people downloaded or listened to that tape on datpiff.com...then do the same at other mixtape download sites.. that tape gets more bump in North Carolina than WTT..it's everywhere..and it's not even his best work. C4 will sell 750k first week or more..but I would like to see a talkshow/late night show appearance Monday the 29th and a 106 and Park appearance 1st week.

Yea S4TW is the most DLed tape in history I think, but we're in a diff time. Look at D2's numbers. The numbers that did for the time it came it is amazing. If any big name drops a tape in this age, the downloads are going to go thru the roof. Espeically Wayne. This may be the most DLed tape ever, but It's also a tape that A LOT of ppl got tired of FAST. I'm sure ppl still bump it, but the difference is when D2 and Drought 3 came out those got consistent play for well over a year. But seriously, 750k in the first week is VERY unlikely. Lady Gaga for example is one of the biggest stars music has ever seen, even bigger than Wayne currently. She barely sold a mill in the U.S. alone, and that was with her "Born This Way" record being #1 in almost every country at the time. The odds of Wayne doing that much in the first week are just very low. Now, if his promotion was on their A-game then yea it would def. be possible.

Carter II said hey world "Im the best rapper alive..period" There is no doubt thats a classic.

Carter III was leaked and it was still did A milli in a week.. Imagine "Im Me" and "Scarface" all on C3 with A milli and Mr. Carter = Beyond Classic

Carter IV Lil Wayne has to prove himself once again... Whenever ppl doubt is when i know wayne is going to do it big. its that simple.

^ good point with the lady gaga sht.. Recovery sold 740-750k first week... I think Wayne can get close to that, I've heard the talking heads on blogs and sites saying that C4 is most anticipated release since C3..guess we'll find out soon enough.

Carter I & II are far and away his best material, imo. Carter II is the only lone classic I would say he has, and honestly a lot of the hip hop world doesn't even agree. Carter I is like classic Wayne, but not classic by hip hop standards if that makes any sense. To me Carter III is the biggest disappointment of his career, had all the GOOD songs actually made the album instead of leaking it would've without a doubt been a classic. Now at this point, I'd be estatic if C4 just comes out VERY GOOD, I see no way Wayne has a classic left in him. Not after his last 3 projects, he's a step down from where he used to be.

Yea that was amazing by Em, but again, Em is bigger than Wayne. He also had one of the biggest #1 hits that year as well when it dropped. I just don't see him quite doing the numbers Em did when looking at the circumstances on each side.

S4TW has over 500,000 dl's only on datpiff! I dl'd it from WTY, and I'm syre many others did as well, so that would say even more than 500,000 dl's!

And that's just a mixtape. I think C4 will do pretty damn well.
Maybe not a milli, but still, A LOT.

Cause, Wayne false reps a lot of shit. He's no gangster, and shit as he likes to claim. People from the hood don't like when other people false rep shit that they really do, especially a celebrity. They don't like being impersonated and shit like that. Not that their life should be glorifed, but they really do that shit, and its rough. They don't respect when people talk about that life when they aren't really living it. Also, Wayne is a ghost to New Orleans, he doesn't come thru here other than to do a show. He reps the fuck out of us at times, but he really doesn't show love like he used to.
