1.) INTRO - 5/10 - Whack intro line to an album we've been waiting for this long, thats what I noticed first lol, but overall it's an ight intro, nothing special, some smooth punchlines and metaphors, dont care for the beat.

2.) BLUNT BLOWIN - 9/10 - This song motivates me and is true C4 status, my nigga snapped, spittin real, raw shit. They could of left his voice unaltered and rougher as in the next song, otherwise I luv dis joint.

3.) MegaMan - 9/10 - Three minutes of pure genius, and Tune feeds off this strong beat. He just basically tells everyone, Im back, not even try, just give up now nigga. C4 HOE! Voice reminds me of C2.

4.) 6 Foot 7 Foot - 8/10 - Im not gonna whine its an old song and give it a bad rating cause ive heard it a million times, im actually rating the song itself. The song ITSELF is a dope joint, I just dont like how his voice sounds all squeaky here, but the actual lyrics are witty, fun, and clever. He KILLS it. This song grew on me, on the first listen I actually hated it lol.

5.) Nightmares of the Bottom - 8/10 - Very soulful and reflective. Good to roll around town & puff on an L and reminisce on the good times. Would sound better if his voice was rougher on this, my opinion.

6.) She Will - 9/10 - One of the dopest beats/instrumentals ive heard in a LONG TIME, and the Weezy & Drake collabo does not disappoint and does the beat justice. This will be a smash on the charts, true BANGER.

7.) How To Hate - 7/10 - Do not care for the T-Pain vocals, however if you listen to the Weezy verses, they are DOPE. Without T-Pain this could be a 9 but ya gotta rate the whole, cohesive song together!

8.) Interlude - NOT RATED - This is not a Lil Wayne song, he is not on it lol. I don't understand this.

9.) John - 8/10 - This is a street banger, Ross goes in and does his thing to the best of his abilities, never heard the similar Ross song cause i dont fucks wit his muzik like dat so I can't compare. I like this however so it is what it is.

10.) Abortion - 7/10 - Nothing special, has a little Rebirth feel to it which is kool. Sounds like a little bit of a filler. I fucks wit it though.

11.) So Special - 8/10 - Epic beat and soulful Hook. Song has some concept of a topic, and its my fav topic - women

12.) How To Love - 9/10 - This is C4's Lollipop. I like this song, im a sukker for romantic songs haha, NO HOMO THOUGH. Good song to hook up wit bitches haha.

13.) President Carter - 9/10 - One of the Dopest songs on the album, love the concept, this is not president jimmy carter, its dwayne carter bitch! haha. Weezy goes INNNNNNNNNN.

14.) Its Good - 8/10 - Dont care for Jada, Drake kills it, and Weezy does his thang too but if hes going to diss Jay on this verse, then he should of went harder consistently the whole verse, instead of saying shit like "I throw the alley-oop to drake griffin" lol.

15.) Outro - NOT RATED - No Weezy on here, SKIP, sorry.

16.) I Like This View - 5/10 - Tried to get this song to grow on me, it doesnt work. Im juss not feelin it, IDK why. Weak lyrics really. One of the lowest points for the album in my humble opinion.

17.) Mirror - 9/10 - One of the BEST songs on the album! Why a bonus trackk? This should be the last single off the album and released ASAP like NOW! It will be BIG ya heard it here first!

18.) Two Shots - 8/10 - This brings back memories of Weezy between C2 and C3 when he had dozens of mixtapes coming out each week haha...idk thats what it remind me off. He KILLS it.

OVERALL: 8.5/10

Ive not heard it in my car yet, and have not listened to the WHOLE album multiple times yet, I think it will grow on me, but I feel like I wanted more and this is not enough. There is not really any song that made my jaw drop, which is what I was expecting. But its a really GOOD album, but IDK when C3 came out it gave me tingles and goosebumps n shit but im not feelin that here IDK why. I gotta listen to it some more, and excited to hear the 3 more deluxe tracks that will come out on the drop date. But I gotta say the songs that I rated highest like blunt blowin, megaman, she will, how to love, pres carter, mirror, these songs truly are some of the BEST joints in Weezy's whole catalog of muzik. Just the album as a whole feels a little bit rough on the edges, IDK WHY!!! But its still DOPE. Beeleeveee DATT.
You're gonna skip the interlude and outro 'cause Weezy ain't on them? C'mon son...

• Re: Official Carter IV Review Thread....

This is my review of C4, going into the album I had a realistic expectation of what it would be like. I knew Wayne would not be the same Wayne from C3 or C2 so I went in with an entirely clear mind to listen. I have listened to the album fully through about 5 or 6 times in my Dre Beats. I think I have had a decent amount of time to digest the music so hopefully u enjoy the review.

1. Intro- The one thing I had expected coming into this album was for Wayne to absolutely snap on the intro like fly in, walk in or 3 peat. When I heard the first couple of lines ex. "and them niggas pussy, camel toes" I was really disappointed. This is not what I expected at all for the intro. As the song goes on more towards the end it gets better. This has to be the most disappointing track on the entire album for me. *Rating 5/10

2. Blunt Blowin- When I first saw this song on the tracklist I had high hopes for this song and I can say after hearing it it exceeded my expectations. For me this easily my favorite song on the album. I think we can all agree this is the Wayne that everyone loves. The beat is crazy and Wayne spazzes with some sick lines such as "still got division (the vision) like a line between two dots" Classic Wayne hook with the layering of the vocals. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite Wayne songs in general. *Rating 10/10

3. Megaman- A great song to follow up Blunt Blowin keeping the raw rap going. In my opinion this song would have worked out great if it was the intro to the album. This shit bangs my god, my headphones almost exploded. Wayne has his typical crazy punchline flow. This song to me is very similar to A milli and is easily one of my favorite tracks on the album. *Rating 9/10

4. 6 Foot 7 Foot- Although this song came out so long ago too me this is one of Waynes best lyrical songs in a while. The high pitched voice and beat can be annoying at points but for me its still a very enjoyable song. If this came out with the rest of the album and not used as a single people would love this song. Definitely one of the strong points of the album again. Corey Gunz kills it at the end. Im happy he was one of the few YM features on the album. *Rating 8.5/10

5. Nightmares of the Bottom- Such a smooth ass beat, the bass is unreal shouts to Snizzy. Waynes voice sounds lazy as the song starts but after a few listens it really fits this song in my opinion. The lyrics on this track are great. People who hate Wayne cant help but appreciate this song. I do wish this song had a nice hook instead of just letting the beat ride. One of my favorites off the album and a song that has mad replay value for me. "The F is for fuck yourself" *Rating 9.5/10

6. She Will- This song is an absolute hit. Already it debuted at 3 on the billboard and it shows no sign of slowing down. The beat is amazing and is a perfect fit after NOTB to get the album back going. Drizzy of course murders the hook. There really isnt much to say about this other than this will be the biggest song radio wise off C4. But where the fuck is the Drake verse at the end damnnn, u know he wouldve murdered this. *Rating 9/10

7. How to Hate- At first listen I was ready to erase this song lol. But after some more listens this song has really grown on me. The beat is definitely a smooth beat to chill to. Way to much T- Pain tho, this really more like a T-Wayne co song instead of Wayne ft. T Pain. The lyrics and idea of the song I definitely relate to personally so I really enjoy it for that. I also like how this is almost like the opposite of How to Love which keeps the album tied together. This song is a solid track but definitely one of my least favorite songs for some reason. *Rating 7/10

8. Interlude- Well damn Wayne, Tech, and 3K all on one song! O wait theres no wayne smh. So stupid to not be on a song on your own album. Anyway Tech 9ne of course absolutely rips this shit. 3K my god, dude is a living legend. Definitely contended for best verse on the album. Like I said I wish wayne spit on this but its a great track regardless. *Rating 8.5/10

9. John- This song right here gets way too much hate. This song is Wayne at his finest to me just that raw street rap. The beat bangs one of the best on the album. Now I understand people hate that its similar to Im Not A Star, but it has been done many times before and it doesnt take away from this being a solid track. Rozay rips this song to pieces. A great street single in my opinion and the video is dope too. *Rating 8.5/10

10. Abortion- As soon as this shit came on I recognized it. Im a little disappointed that its basically the same shit that leaked like 2 years ago, but then I heard some of the lyrics and Wayne definitely went in on this. The hook is dope, "hell of a smoker bit of a drinker" is great to jam too. Im a little disappointed in the beat because I know Street Runner has way better beats than this. Overall I enjoyed the song just not as much as the rest of the album. *Rating 7.5/10

11. So Special- Beat is mad sick on this song. Definitely sounds like something Drizzy would jump on. Wayne's lyrics on this are mehh to me, nothing very impressive and his flow was pretty lazy to me. John Legend is one of my favorite artists and does a great job on the hook. Waynes second verse is definitely improvement from the first. A cool song for me but I think Wayne could have come up with a more elaborate concept for the song. Very enjoyable non the less.
*Rating 8.5/10

12. How to Love- We all know that you either hate this song or love it. Personally I enjoy the song. I really dont give a fuck if people say its soft or whatever. I personally am confident in my man hood that I dont need to be an e thug and hate every love or slow song. Lyrics are solid all the way through the beat is chill and its obviously a song that appeals to the masses. This song definitely serves its purpose as being a radio friendly single... every artist has some regardless of what people say. *Rating 8/10

13. President Carter- The sample and the beat on this song is dope. Definitely one of the best tracks production wise on the album. Wayne goes in on this song. Lyrics are solid all the way through especially on the last verse. I encourage any Wayne hater to listen to that verse and tell me Wayne doesnt have skill. Easily one of my favorite songs on C4. "and they thought drugs where killen the youth" *Rating 9/10

14. Its Good- Jadakiss starts this song off with his usually grimmy street flow and adds to the feeling of the overall track. Kind of reminds me of Ross a little. Beat is one of my favorite on the album. Drizzy absolutely kills this song, he has been unreal lately with his verses. Wayne tops this track off with one of my favorite verses on the album. And of course how could I forget he went at "The Thrones" neck. I would love to see a Jay and Wayne beef I feel like it would put that hunger back in Wayne that hes been missing lately. Great overall track and definitely bring more attention to C4 *Rating 9/10

15. Outro- Again as I said before on the interlude I dont understand why Wayne didnt lay down a verse. Oh well honestly the features on this song make up for it... except Shyne haha (his lyrics arent that bad his voice is just terrible tho). Bun B kills it, Nas has my favorite verse on the album, Busta starts his verse off kinda weird and off beat but damn does he fucking murder it at the end damn. Perfect way to end the album. *Rating 8.5/10

16. I Like the View- This song definitely shouldve been on the standard version of the CD and not a bonus, but it really doesnt matter. Waynes flow on this is dope, and if you smoke weed this song is even better high. The beat is another banger and one of my favorites on the album. People looking for a real meaning full song wont find it here but if u like Wayne just goin in this is that track."Smoke so much good I dont even have a bad side" *Rating 9/10

17. Mirror- This song is not my favorite song on the album but definitely the best if that makes sense haha. Wayne has great self reflective deep lyrics. The whole concept of the song is great and something everyone relates to. When I first saw Bruno Mars was on this song I was like fuck, but damn did he prove me wrong. He provides a great hook that totally fits the song. This is a song that u should show a Wayne hater. *Rating 10/10

18. Two Shots- Haha what a great party song. This song on some dope speakers will have a party goin nuts. No deep lyrics here but a dope ass beat with some heavy bass. Wayne has that fucked up flow on this that reminds me of when he was on Lean and shit. Straight party song and a solid bonus track. *Rating 8.5/10

After listening to this a few times, my expectations have been fulfilled. I think that people want Wayne to be what he was and its just not going to happen. If you have that mindset you are going to be disappointed with any of his future projects most likely. I will admit there are some terrible lyrics on this but not as bad as people make it out to be. I listen to Wayne because he makes exciting hyped up fun music. I really dont give a fuck to hear Wayne spit about social or political issues thats what you have Common or Nas or Immortal Technique for. So of course this album will be hated by many and loved by others just like any Wayne project. I can say tho that I thoroughly enjoyed this album and it is just as good if not better in some aspects than C3. C2 is still #1 in my book but thats irrelevant. Overall I would rate this album an 8.5/10, great beats, fun music, and typical Wayne. Thanks for Reading

I keep seeing people ask why Wayne didn't put a verse down in the Interlude and the Outro...are you guys really listening to the album? Let me help you out a bit....Listen to the Intro, Interlude and Outro one after the other.....hear that? THE SAME BEAT...SAME SONG..SPLIT INTO 3.

TLDR...Wayne's verse for the Interlude and the Outro...IS THE INTRO.

Um, have you listened to Tha Carter and Tha Carter II? People thought he was going back to that. It's stupid to have songs on your own album that you aren't even on.

Tha Carter I/II was ment to be like 3 different songs though. CIV was like the interludes in that Wayne mixtape, W. Carter Vol. 2. It was one song (South Muzik off D2) split into 3 16 bar 'pieces'. Basically what they did here.

My Review of Tha Carter IV

I give it a 7,5/8,0

In general it's a good album with decent songs and great rapping, but it's not a classic.

1. Intro Nice beat, but a fucked up flow and lyrics are decent.

2. Blunt Blowin Hard ass beat, nice flow , nice lyrics, only little bit too high pitched. Favorite song

3. Megaman Not a fan of the beat, but a matches very good with the flow and lyrics. Hard ass track Blunt Blowin or Bill Gates.

4. 6 Foot 7 Foot Cory outshined Wayne, but if I have to say anything positive about this track, maybe the lyrics? IDK, i dont like this.

5. Nightmares of the Bottom Slow chill song, lazy flow, with very deep lyrics and a nice beat a piano flow. Probably one of the most anticipated tracks besides Wayne's world. Most of ya'll will like the MTV Unplugged
version more because his flow not damn lazy.

6. She Will Typical T-Minus beat, not a fan of this song. But it's decent, only stupid lyrics and a too long hook. Too simple imo.

7. How to HateFuck T-Pain, Fuck the beat, Fuck this song.

8. Interlude Same beat as the intro, but Tech N9ne killed this motherfucking beat, much better than Wayne.

9. John Typical gangster song, nice song to bump, easy listening nice flow, ROZAY killed this too.

10. Abortion I don't know, deep beat, but dont like the beat. But it's still a good song.

11. So Special This is fucking hit record, this is classic. But recycled beat, sounds cheap.

12. How To Love Don't wanna spend my time on this

13. President Carter One of the better songs on the album, simple good ass beat, nice flow, reminds of shoot me down.

14.It's Good Drizzy ! Yes. Only thing i have to say this is hard.

15. Outro Everybody did their thang, but shyne come on.

I'll bump this for sure.

Carter IV has grew like fuck on me.
It's difficult to compare it to C3 - Different era, different Wayne.

But somebody is gona get on my case for comparing the two

Carter IV:
Intro - Doesn't even being to compare to 3Peat.
Bluntblowin' - Gives me goosebumps when the chorus and beat comes in. Wayne's lyrics are just as good as ever.
Megaman - Again, Wayne delivers on this track.
6 Foot 7 Foot - Overplayed this since it came out, still a good track.
NMOB - Not one of my faves, im not sure on the flow on this.
She Will - I like it - Drake does a decent hook and Wayne's ok.
How To Hate - Minus T-Pain, I like it alot more. Wayne makes the most of this imo.
Interlude - No Wayne so
John - Cannot stand Ross, this song gets on my nerves.
Abortion - Dont quite get it, but still its listen-able. Average
So Special - Great hook from John. Deep-ish track, one of my faves.
How To Love - Personally I like it, duno why it's hated on so much. Versatile Wayne.
President Carter - One of the best tracks. Great concept and done well. This over Dr Carter for me.
It's Good - Not a Jada fan, Drizzy does well and I quite like the pop at Jay Z
Outro - Again, no Wayne so no review.
I Like The View - Decent lyrics but not a fave.
Mirror - Really into this, i like the idea and it's done pretty well. Bruno would make most tracks a hit.
Two Shots - Makes me laugh, in a good way.

Now, I know it's not an in depth review but I prefer this over C3 now.

C3:
3 Peat - Probably my fave Wayne track.
Milli - Good track for the bass and lyrics. Compares to 6 Foot 7 Foot
Dr Carter - Very creative but not as good as Pres Carter imo.
Tie My Hands - Replay this along with Shoot Me Down & Playing With Fire
Shoot Me Down - ^
Let The Beat Build - Great vibe to it, lyric wise its okay and its catchy.
Playing With Fire - ^^

These are the tracks I play over and over again. Lollipop, Got Money, Misunderstood, Mrs Officer, Comfortable, Phone Home and La La are more or less fillers to me. Some of the tracks are listen able but get boring easily to me.

Overall, im really pleased with C4 now.
