While I agree with the sentiment, it is ironic you mention experience. Cortez Bryant didn't have any experience in the music biz either... that's probably 2/3 the reason this topic was started. Seems we'd be just as qualified to guess about the biz as he was to run any part of it.

I wonder if they have the data like that on how it breaks down. What percentage of the audience will buy each release to get all the bonus tracks. I think for most people they just buy one version and then bitterly think about the "exclusive" tracks at different stores... until they just download the tracks online anyway. I think the business side of this comes from the truck load of money that companies like Apple and Target paid to YM to secure the exclusive tracks.

I was tempted to buy all of the albums just to get the bonus tracks. I remember I did that with Tha Carter III, but at the end of the day I just ripped all the CDs to my computer and played the mp3 files instead. This time around I bought the most complete version of the album I could and filled in the rest of the tracks later.

no way abortion is one of the best cuts from the album... so special is one of the most stale stagnant song on the album... that can go.

I don't get why this isn't the case anyway. Because they let him release projects like Rebirth and stuff and he still sells, so why not let him choose the songs on a sequel of an album that sold >1mil in the first week.
