Why don't you like CIV?

    Why don't you like CIV?

    I'm seeing alot of CIV disapproval around here and I'm trying to get an idea of which songs specifically on CIV turned long-time lil wayne fans off from CIV.

    Personally, I feel that up up & away, blunt blowing, megaman, i got money on me, nightmares of the bottom, president carter, john, and she will are some of the best work of Wayne of all time. IMO if Wayne dropped songs like these during the C3 era it would have blown people away. I'm also a fan of the beat they used for intro, interlude, and outro. Do people who dislike CIV dislike these songs?

    Or is all the hate surrounding songs like abortion, how to hate, and so special? Because those are the points where CIV loses me, but I still think it's a great album because of the songs I listed in the paragraph above.

    If you dislike CIV, could you please elaborate on which songs make you feel this way and why?

    Weezy F Baby & the F is for fail^.
    C4 failed, but I like it.
    Weak punshlines, supa dupa flow is also weak.
    On some songs is his voice annyoing, special thanks to Mike Bangerrrrr
    On C4 are only a few good songs, I bet the leftovers are much better than C4.
    Tez should put We Back Soon instead of Abortion on it.
    Intro is weak for a Carter album. Beat also.
    If Wayne put these songs you said on C3 / while the C3 era, we would be the most hated person in the game.
    He had much better songs in the C2/C3 era,

        Alot of the songs had no meaning or a story behind it. I think for a album, alot of songs have to be real and a good storyline. There was none of that except Mirror, Novacane, etc, and those are bonus tracks. Plus the beat selection for slot of songs were wack. And there was wY to many lynchings in this album, also alot of lines we kinda heard before. This shit gets boring. I miss when Wayne rapped about his hood and shit

            You can't call an album that sold over 900k copies in a week a fail just because his flow is "weak" in your opinion...

                    Lil Wayne is not, and never was much of a story teller. This goes for ALL of his mixtapes and ALL of his albums. Wayne said himself that he is not a situation rapper. If you're a big weezy fan I'm not sure why you were expecting these things on CIV. Not a valid reason for a fail IMO. Also, there's a difference between how the lyrics of a song make you feel, and how the song itself sounds...
