No. Kendrick releases one classic album tbh and everyone wants to jump to conclusion. People didn't start recognizing Wayne as the best til after we got classics like Dedication 2, Da Drought 3, Carter 1, Carter 2, then around Carter 3 era is when everyone realized that he is/was.

Not until we get several more classics from Kendrick should he even be suggested or mentioned as best rapper alive. He doesn't have enough impact and shit to back that statement up.

He's a great artist and shit but he needs to drop several more classics, be featured nearly everywhere in Hip Hop, and have the confidence/attitude Wayne had.

Kendrick also has overly dedicated and section 80, two really good projects. Kendrick Lamar EP is great to imo. The slogan 'best rapper alive" will always be associated with wayne..but all i know is Illmatic is considered the greatest album of all time by majority vote to this day..dont get me wrong wayne's my dude, still waiting for that song wayne's world..

I know he has (but not as much as you say, there's worse) but I never said he's still the best rapper alive, but what he did years ago to get that title in the first place was some fucking unbelievable shit. Niggas feared him on some real shit. He had classic albums, mixtapes, and features, on top of that he had the work ethic, and was everywhere in Hip Hop. Back then not once did niggas have to go like "When are we getting new Wayne stuff?" he literally either dropped a song, layed a verse for another track, made a hook for another track, released a mixtape, mentioned by someone else in the game that he was gonna be on their album/mixtape, or working on an album. It's insane how much he did during 05-08, in fact it's even underrated how much he did during that time.

Agreed with that part, and yeah @ Kendrick. But.... being the best rapper alive, you CAN'T just drop something real hot, disappear, do it again, disappear, do it again. If Kendrick really was gonna be mentioned as best rapper alive, you can't just have lyricism. Kendrick has lyrics, flow, etc. But you also have to have that work ethic. People fail to realize how important work ethic is, and that's something that really hurts most artists. Wayne had the full package years ago: Flow, delivery, lyrics, humor (not needed but it was cool), work ethic, wit, literally everything. Best Rapper Alive is the full package, not just lyrics/flow.

If Kendrick wants to fit this category he needs to pick up in some categories and keep up with albums like GKMC. And honestly he set the bar too high and kinda hurt himself if he can't top that album..
