We all know that the Carter 3 leftovers were good/great and the Carter 3 album was above average but GOATs are consistent with their releases and Wayne isn't. He was considered GOAT at one point but not now.

Niggas feared him on some real shit. He had classic albums, mixtapes, and features, on top of that he had the work ethic, and was everywhere in Hip Hop. Back then not once did niggas have to go like "When are we getting new Wayne stuff?" he literally either dropped a song, layed a verse for another track, made a hook for another track, released a mixtape, mentioned by someone else in the game that he was gonna be on their album/mixtape, or working on an album. It's insane how much he did during 05-08, in fact it's even underrated how much he did during that time.
Agreed with that part, and yeah @ Kendrick. But.... being the best rapper alive, you CAN'T just drop something real hot, disappear, do it again, disappear, do it again. If Kendrick really was gonna be mentioned as best rapper alive, you can't just have lyricism. Kendrick has lyrics, flow, etc. But you also have to have that work ethic. People fail to realize how important work ethic is, and that's something that really hurts most artists. Wayne had the full package years ago: Flow, delivery, lyrics, humor (not needed but it was cool), work ethic, wit, literally everything. Best Rapper Alive is the full package, not just lyrics/flow.
If Kendrick wants to fit this category he needs to pick up in some categories and keep up with albums like GKMC. And honestly he set the bar too high and kinda hurt himself if he can't top that album..

I know Wayne isn't the best out ATM and Kendrick is clearly rapping better right now, but I don't think that title deserves to go to anyone else yet.

Dont shoot me for this but Drake kills every verse he puts down, let it be an RnB verse or a rap verse...Syrup, percocet, and an eighth a day will leave you broke, depressed, and emotionally vacant
Despite how Lil' Wayne lives
It's not conducive to being creative
And I know cause he's my favorite
And I know cause I was off that same mix
Rationalize the shit that I'd try after I listen to "Dedication"
But he's an alien
I'd sip that shit
Pass out or play PlayStation.
