[OFFICIAL]I Am Not A Human Being 2 Discussion Thread v1
Do you know how much promotion Kendrick had for his debut album?
GKMC was the most anticipated album in hip-hop last year, had promotion from literally every rapper in the business, interviews from every radio station, featured with so many rappers and still did around the same as Wayne and YMCMB didn't do shit for promotion. GKMC is leagues ahead of IAHB2 quality wise, but Kendrick won't be able to do big time numbers.
Watch Kendrick's next album sell 60k first week, after he milks GKMC for the next year and a half.
And don't think that Kendrick is gonna control the game after Wayne retires (even though it would be better for the game), it's gonna be Drake, don't lie to yourself.
YMCMB is still going to be in control of the rap game for another 5 years and then some.
From 2007-the end of the decade.
damn
i wasnt expecting Carter numbers
but i expected more
part one did half as many sales from juss digital sales in the first week with no promotion
Rebirth did a little less than part two without much promotion either
i really expected at least 300k
what happened?
