  • Did probation completely start the change of Weezy?

Not going to do a lengthy post but a simple question begs a debate.

Did getting 3 years probation prompt and create this change of rapper who once self-proclaimed himself as the best rapper alive to a skater and disappointing music? Did the probation ruin, change, and force a transformation of Weezy to what he is now compared to what he was, say, back in 2008/09 pre-jail and probation?

Or has he just matured, evolved and progressed as an artist and person and just enjoying his life of success?

The probation was definately the trigger because if it wasn't for that, he would have still been on the drugs and the lean which makes his mind come up with the crazy lyrics.

However, having said that, i'm glad he was on probation because i feel we have received a lto of good music from Wayne and obviously being off drugs is good for his health. I think I have been selfish enough over the past few years when he used to deliver time after time.

We know he will never return to his peak, every artist has their peak and Wayne has reached his and is on a decline. It's just natural so i dont think we should be mad at him for the decline but we all know that he couldn't be the best rapper alive FOREVER...

Both tbh.. Especially with someone like Wayne who was an addict to Syrup and Weed.. He had to do find something to take his mind away from all that.. So he chose skating to focus on, and he's a person ones he tries something he wants to become the best..

the lean doesn't do anything for that, ive tried it and it doesn't make you smarter or anything, if it was any drug at all that affected his lyrics it would been the weed.

plus he started to become more mature and music losing quality in 2010 before jail (maybe cause of the fact that he knew he would go through a big change soon)

          ^ this

And I think what changed Wayne other than probation is him being very rich now that he doesn't care, I think what changed him is that rapping became boring to him regardless if he was on drugs or not......I guess the reason Wayne is the rapper he is now is coz he doesn't wanna rap no more.....he doesn't "love" rap no more or at least as much as how he used to love it

He always had money.. He has been rapping since he was 8... he has come up with so many lyrics, he reached his peak.. I don't blame him for over-using the same lyrics constantly..We should be lucky we are still getting projects from him.

Different things have different effects on people. Are you Lil Wayne? No. But i don't doubt for a fact that the lean had something to do with his lyrics - Me & My Drank and a whole lot of his auto-tune tracks.

                    Yes I am Lil Wayne

and those songs were from 2008, when he started to get bored or rapping, he said he created Rebirth cause he got bored or rap and he started recording Rebirth & Luv Sawngz in 2008.

I really don't get why a lot of people are accepting Wayne as a bad artist now, when some of his recent stuff has been better than it was a year or so ago...

                      Still not good, though.
