  • Tha Carter or Tha Carter II?

Which album do you think is better? Whether it's production, lyrics, tracks, whatever. Both are really the only albums I can listen to without skipping a lot, and both still sound fresh to this day. I think Tha Carter had a lot of great tracks that are classics (BM J.R., Go DJ, This is the Carter, Walk In, I Miss My Dawgs, Cash Money Millionaires) but haters will always say that Willie Da Squid wrote the album (Which I think is untrue). But, Tha Carter II had the perfect production for Lil Wayne (The soulful, darker sounds) and had classic tracks (Tha Mobb, Fly In/Carter II/Fly Out, Feel Me, Money on my Mind, Best Rapper Alive). If I had to choose, I would say Tha Carter II. Tha Carter is a VERY close second. But, I feel Tha Carter II really was when Wayne got his game together and tried to prove something. But, I want to know how you feel, and why?

Tha Carter III IS Lil Wayne's sellout album. Nearly half of the album are mostly pop/radio tracks or just too mediocre to be remembered. Tha Carter III is more overrated than the new Eminem + Jay Z + Lebron James. Only classic tracks are A Milli, 3 Peat, Tie My Hands, & Dr. Carter. Those tracks alone can make a classic EP.

Hustler Musik is more memorable, lyrical, creative, well produced & more classic than Lollipop and La La combined. And do I have to bring Got Money and Mrs. Officer into this? Playing With Fire was straight trash (except the last verse), Wayne was murked in You Ain't Got Nothin', Wayne talks way too long in Misunderstood and Phone Home is wack.

I love albums that experiment with different sounds (ex. I love The Marshall Mathers LP) but when you do a horrible job at it and you become overrated from it... Ugh...

Maybe it's your opinion, but I hate C3 with a passion. Only time i'll listen to it all the way through if I was high or filthy drunk. Other than that, nearly half of the album gets skipped. Lyrical retardation at it's finest.
