04 - Got Money (Feat. T-Pain) [2/5] - The overall decline of the album starts here, IMO. And while I don't completely hate Got Money, it's still pretty bad. This track was an obvious attempt at the pop Billboard, and it didn't fail to do so. But as an album track on a hip hop album, this track is a SKIPPPPPP! (For me atleast)
07 - Phone Home [2/5] - Another track where Wayne does some roleplaying. But this time, as a martian. So, Wayne's a rapper, lean sipping doctor of hip hop alien millionaire? Well... He is one of my favorite rappers... So... But on to the track. The hook is borderline wack to me. I find it funny and weird at the same time. The concept is interesting, but the lyrics and flow are... meh...
09 - Mrs. Officer (Feat. Bobby V & Kidd Kidd) [1.5/5] - Another hit aimed towards the female audience, and this one... Is... Ugh... I would like it more it the hook weren't annoying and most of the song wasn't hook. But, the concept is very interesting. Wayne does story telling about his experiences with him and a lady cop... It's both bizarre and intriguing.
12 - Lollipop (Feat. Static Major) [ .5/5] - Now, I could sit here and flame Lollipop for hours. But, it's as simple as this. I like when artists experiment and branch out, but this is just.... I consider Lollipop the sellout anthem of Lil Wayne and the anthem for all the new Lil Wayne stans. It's a horrible song as far as substance is concerned and before this song came out, it was very easy to defend Lil Wayne and back him up... But it's ish like this that make me despise C3... It's a horrible lead single with drug addled autotune, no rapping, and an infectious beat with barely any verses. It's a perfect pop hit, and reminds me of Outkast's Hey Ya. I hate Lollipop, and that's final. No changing my mind.
Lollipop may have been when the anti-wayne fanbase began but the song probably quadrupled his fan base
Phone Home i would have higher but thats just my opinion
Great Review and i completely agree with everything else
I agree for the most part. I wouldn't give Lollipop a 0.5/5 though lol, it's better than Got Money imo, which is easily the worst track on the album. Lollipop was good for what it was, maybe a 2.5 - 3 . A Milli is a classic song but I wouldn't give it a 5/5, maybe a 4. I don't like Comfortable so I'd give it a 2 tbh, but that's a biased opinion. I'd give Phone Home a 3, Shoot Me Down a 5, & Let The Beat Build a 3.
I know it's all opinions but I just don't see how people think it's a great or CLASSIC album. It's cool but that's it
"Armed and dangerous, rich and famous, young and restless
Guns and stretchers
Cristal and dubs for breakfast
I just got one suggestion - none should test him
'Cause cuz get hectic; send one through your sons intestines
Glocks knock lungs from chests, you get the portrait?
Bodies piled up on porches, it won't be gorgeous"

Considering how much work went into crafting this album, it can be considered a classic. He delivered an almost perfectly solid album and it pushed him to mega-celebrity status.
This album was absolute shit..... It just wasn't up to his standards whatsoever.....I can completely understand where he is coming from though...all that hard work and perseverance completely leaked out into the public like that....looking back, 3PEAT was the only fucking amazing thing that came out of the album...it had the drought 3 wayne feeling to it... I can completely respect your opinion though because you appreciate how legendary Tha Mobb is...
it's very clear that you hate every mainstream song wayne had on the album even tho they became the big hits from the album. they served their purpose, to build him a bigger fanbase and for that alone, the songs deserve a higher rating than what you gave them. when will people understand that mainstream is a huge part of the game. that's why i respect people who can successfully do both (lyricism and mainstream). that's why i do give the lil wayne's and the eminem's and kanye's a lot more respect than i give the mos def's etc. not enough diversity in their music IMO and that's why C3 was classic IMO, it had so much diversity.
And C2 is his best album IMO.
