  • D4 is really is a dope ass mixtape...

I have not listened to this mixtape for weeks now, and today while I was listening to some random music I went through Cashed Out and then ended up listening to the whole mixtape.

Cashed Out, So Dedicated, Same Damn Tune, I Don't Like, Burn, Wish You Would, Magic...

^ These songs are as amazing as a lot of songs in Da Drought 3...real talk!

This mixtape didn't have "2012 Wayne at his best"... nah, 2007 Wayne would have rapped the same way.

Just sayin' that Wayne really did go above and beyond with this mixtape...flow wise, and punchlines/lyrics wise..

I was pondering this as well...that D4 wasn't as bad as it was perceived to be... he actually has a lot of witty shit in his songs (excluding the sexual reference of course)...A bunch of songs were coming up off shuffle from D4 and I was like damn.... overlooked a lot of things or simply just didn't pay attention to it..

Wayne in 2007 is waaaay different than 2012...

But I agree, D4 is a nice mixtape.

Amen is my favorite song. "AND YOU KNOW I AINT GOT NO CEILINS!" "AND TELL DEM ALPHABET BOYS ITS A G THING!!"

If the mixtape had better quality, i would be bumping it as much as I do DD3 & No Ceilings.

Guarantee if this came out in 2007 no one on here would be hating on it. Niggas on here look at the year instead of listening to the music

This tape is no different than No Ceilings
"Armed and dangerous, rich and famous, young and restless
        Guns and stretchers
        Cristal and dubs for breakfast
I just got one suggestion - none should test him
'Cause cuz get hectic; send one through your sons intestines
Glocks knock lungs from chests, you get the portrait?
Bodies piled up on porches, it won't be gorgeous"

          You can't say that bro.

Wayne's style, personality, fanbase, and just his music is general was different in 2007.

And these type of beats were not around during 2007.

This tape is completely different than No Ceilings also...

          I don't see the similarities...

That's what happened with No Ceilings for alot of people lol...

who knows, maybe D4 will leave a mark like D2 in the future

D4 was the best thing Wayne dropped since No Ceilings... Tone down the sexual talk a bit and it could come close to Drought 3 level.

This happens to a majority of his music...I'll ignore a certain song......stumble upon it years later and be like "what was I thinking ignoring this?"

I'm A True Wayne Fan Thru N Thru, When I First Listend To D4 I Liked It, But The More I Went Back To It The More I Liked It. I Wish It Had A few More Tracks But It Reminded Me Of D3. Great Mixtape Overall Tho But I Wish My Homies Still Remix Had A new Verse From Wayne

                        I see your point

But if this dropped in 2007 it would be appreciated because it would still sound refreshing

And now in 2012 Wayne is still rapping like he always did and people are kinda getting tired of it
because they already know what they're gonna hear from him

But I agree with the No Ceilings statement
                        I find them equal aswell
