I think everybody on this forum should post on here. It's awesome to read others reason why. It's really refreshing from the constant hate on Wayne that you see on other websites.

Wayne was just it for me.

He is just such a unique artist that put so much emotion and work ethic into his craft. I first heard of him around the Carter 3 with Lolipop and actually originally hated him for about a year because of the Tim Westwood freestyle, but then I started looking into him more and after about a week of listening to him I knew that he was going to be my favourite rapper.

His attitude that he presents himself with, the changes in his flow, how he is so misunderstood by people that hate him and even by his fans that aren't as big. The history that the guy has, the story behind his self-inflicted gun wounds, the way that he carried the city of New Orleans after Katrina, producing some of the most socially progressive hip-hop during that time. His prison time, how hip-hop constantly waited for the day that the guy came out. The game really did shit without him.

He has undeniably changed hip-hop. He has helped create the biggest label in the game, he came up through the ranks as the underdog, he rejected Jay's offer and did it without the help of the Roc. He is the only rapper that has crossed my mind that has crossed over genres and actually produce a half decent crossover record. He made drinking syrup cool. He made wearing skinny jeans cool. He made dreads look sick. His reign over hip-hop is classic.

For me, his work ethic is definately inspiring and the emotion that he inflicts into his music really helped me with writing slam poetry. I've even used some lines of Weezy's in some of my poems. And it's really cool that Wayne skates, but I liked him before he skated so it didn't really change my liking, even though I would prefer he would spend more time in the booth. It's all good. Sometimes I will listen to other artists like Kendrick, ASAP, the Game, 2Pac, etc. and get an album or two, but I will always eventually will go back to listening to Wayne.

Wayne is definately a polarizing figure for most people and I love talking to people that hate him. It's amusing to see how uneducated people are.

I don't expect everyone to read that, I might have went off topic.
    I have ADHD I think.

What nigga gives away some of his all time best content for FREE?! He was also the rapper that made me appreciate lyrics more.
the thing is boy, there is a difference between a fan of his old times and a a fuckhole who's just crying : i miss the old wayne, i dont like dat new shit.... and as your names says you are one of the second category, you can have an opinion but if u just cry the past behind, then this isnt the right place 4 you

                        Well...

                        Work ethic
                        - If there's anything he'll be remembered for, this has to be up there... How many do you know releases a double disc 25+ mixtape full of classic songs for free? Not only did it show dedication, it showed his skills, love for his fans, and passion for music

                        Flows
                        - He just doesn't have the custom flows, or a limit of like 3-5 kinds... If you listened to him at all from just these past few years, he has countless of flows he could switch to... Some rappers use a new flow for a whole verse, but Wayne often uses multiple flows in the same song/verse which I enjoy (does this often in C3 Sessions I noticed, like in Get Real Gangsta (ft. Dizzy))

                        Attitude
                        - His attitude and personality is amazing. Like, he's not a jerk enough to be an asshole but he is at certain times, especially when he hears things he doesn't like, like a certain question no matter if you cool with him (like in that Katie Courie interview). Those that are close with him know how cool and funny he is, and I like how he presents himself when meeting new people too, he's real social. He's definitely not boring.

                        Unique
                        - There's several rappers I could say remind me of another, whether its lyrics/beats or voice like Waka/Chief Keef... but nobody has yet reminded me of Wayne, except for Chuckee cause of his dreads. Nobody has ever stood out musically in any genre as much as he has

                        Voice
                        - Nobody has his voice, it just stands out and once you hear it you know it's him... I hate when artists sounds alike, it makes it hard noticing who it is

                        Etc
                        - Artists have their special opening/ending to verses, like 2 Chainz says "2 CHAIIIIIIIINZ", Big Sean says "Boii", French does "Haaaaaan"... Wayne's is a simple blunt lighting/"Young Mula Baaaaby" or saying Young Money/Cash Money, the blunt alone gets me hype honestly... Just hearing that gets me excited for his verse, especially how No Ceilings had it before every verse.

                        - He just ain't boring... I listen to niggas like Pac, Jay-Z, Kendrick, ASAP, Kanye, Rick Ross (sometimes), Wale... but I ALWAYS go back to Wayne no matter if he does bad songs, he's entertaining as hell. The passion and way he changes his voice is impressive instead of always with the same tone like Drake

                        Yeah long but idc...
