Just a few reasons why... the first album I ever listened to ever front to back was Tha Carter 1... from that point til today in 2016 the guy has been my favorite rapper ever since. Wayne's charisma and wittiness is unmatched.. Like on the song "What He Does" from the C3 Sessions he says "and if I ever have twins I'll name em Bright & Early". That right there is simple but it's unique the guy just has this feeling he gives me when he says shit like that I lose it lol. Plus his songs that are full of pain and from the heart like Cry Out, Trouble, I Miss My Dawgs, Something You Forgot I feel Wayne in those songs. Another reason simply is because the dude made the mixtape game pop.. you can say 50 Cent started it I guess but Lil Wayne's name is the first one to come to mind when people think of mixtapes.. idc what anyone says imo there wouldn't be mixtapes today if it weren't for Lil Wayne he created a whole new way to access music.. some of this mans best material he just gave out for free when he was the best rapper alive and the hottest thing in music period. Da Drought 3 still to this day is the best mixtape I've ever heard in my life no one has had a better tape yet not even close. And finally just the run Lil Wayne went on was incredible from 2004-2009 no one was better then Lil Wayne, I'm very happy I was around to see and appreciate the run that man went on I haven't seen a run like that by anyone like that since I've been alive.. not even Drake has gotten as big as Wayne did at one time it's ridiculous I still remember the hype around Carter 3 and the day it came out how much buzz there was building up to it.. hype/buzz for an album doesn't come around like that every year or even every 5 years.. it's crazy I can't think of an album that had as much hype around it since then maybe Carter 4 but it was insane.
