You act like Hov was original himself tho. It's known that he took his style from Biggie and attempted to twist it up into what we have from him today. Career wise yeah he kept it more consistent than Wayne, has a better public view (due to Wayne's somewhat bad public image from going to jail alone), but originality-wise, Wayne has it even tho he "was inspired by Hov". He's said it but Wayne had a much better way of making whatever inspired him into his own unique style that was game-changing.

One could arguably say that this is a negative, but Wayne had such an impact that he was able to change the way the whole game is. I obviously can't sit here and bullshit by saying Wayne's career > Hov's career due to his inconsistency lately, but when Wayne went hard, that nigga was nearly untouchable, even against Hov. Jay-Z knew this.

Yeah, Wayne used to go hard. I was a big Wayne fan, but he's not the same Wayne that made me a fan. I'd pick that Wayne over Jay anytime. I was just watching Weezy's BET "Gossip" Performance & Wayne was that nigga at one point. He was just too raw, you could tell his hunger. Now his only competition is himself, so I can see why it's harder for him to get inspired now. Anyways Wayne proved himself that he can be the best, that's all that matters, he left his mark.

Wayne is easily in the top 10 ..

In my opinion he's not, too many good originators in Hip-Hop. The Top10 gets filled up without Wayne easy. Top20-30 is where Wayne lands. He's not that old school to be in the Top10. Eminem, Rakim, Jay-Z, Biggie, Ice Cube, Big L, Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, Nas, Tupac are off the top of my brain that I name for Top10 worthy, you can't bump Wayne in the Top10 until & unless C5 is a classic.

I agree with you on most of them (Eminem, Pac, Big L, Biggie, Ice Cube & Nas) I still think Wayne is in there though .. Wayne's mixtapes go hard (DD3, D2, NC), C2 & C3 was a classic and C4 wasn't all that bad as people make out.

Wayne has Classic Mixtapes easy for sure, he just need another Classic Album since people usually go by the amount of Classic Albums since its mainstream & at a commercial level. But I feel Wayne just needs another classic & he can be debated & updated for the Top 10 of all time.

If it weren't for Jail, Weezy would've dropped C4 when it was supposed to have dropped. It would've been an instant Classic, people wanted a C4 & were high of Wayne at the time. The Tracklist was also different at the time. That's why he needs to deliver in C5 & The Carter Series will definitely be the Greastest Album Series Of All Time.

Yeah Wayne's not rapping the same way he used to that made us all fans, but Jay-Z ain't different. He not the same when it comes to rapping. You can't tell me the shit he put out on Watch The Throne matched up to what he put on the Black album. Watch The Throne was a huge disappointment to me because of high expectations from previous Jay-Z and Kanye songs. Jay-Z did not live up to expectations, he can't drop another Black album. So every artist falls off a bit unless they find a reason to go insanely hard again, even Pac would've dropped off if he didn't have such a sudden death.

Yeah I agree with maybe not being in Top 10 of all time considering all the old heads of Hip Hop, but Wayne def has a spot in top 20 or top 30, which sounds bad at first but you have to realize how many rappers there have been since the beginning of Hip Hop. So even being in Top 50 is an accomplishment.

Carter 5 could really be monumental and game changing depending on what he does with it. Btw none of us here literally could begin to act like we know what he'll drop on C5. Wayne changes nearly every 3-5 years (C2 Wayne to C3 Wayne to Rebirth Wayne to skating Wayne, etc) and he said we'll be getting a good amount of albums/mixtapes from now til C5 (like 4+ albums?).

So I'll say we won't get it until... 2016-2020? Sounds kinda far but that's a lot of albums and mixtapes.. so honestly he might change once or twice more before we get C5.. so who knows how it'll sound or how the game would be by then.
