I don't think weezy would ever become completly irrelevant (a word that is over used these days IMHO). But I think I understand the point op is trying to make.

Wayne has lost a lot of buzz to the newer artists like Kendrick and Drake etc. Wayne is not very often brought up in discussion these days, never nominated for any awards etc. Sure his singles go platinum but that is due to his very loyal fan base, aka us lol.

Public interest in him has gone down in recent months.

He will forever remain a GOAT though.
