And I've been a wayne fan since like 99 or earlier man.....I like damn near all of his shit....but this shit is just sooo...idk even how to explain it....tooo simplistic....tooo dumbed down....how to love was great compared to this, lollipop, mirrors, gosh i'm so disappointed in this song for real....

Start a Fire does exactly what it's supposed to do, being a great single for radio and for people to check out C5. But as a Wayne song it's pretty weak.

I think he wasted a great Christina Millan song. Either he shouldn't have been on it or he should've been more on it and done something more with it than just chit-chat all the way through it. But as I said, it got all the impact of a great radio single but also a pretty weak move to let Millan be so heavy on it and guarantee a hit. Wayne sounds almost like a feature on this...

How do you waste a Christina song by putting Wayne on it?

Since u clearly struggle to understand why songs become hits, I will explain the difference. Lollipop and How to Love were firsts of their kind. Unique and risky songs to release because of how abstract they were at the time. Start a Fire is a rapper getting a pop hook and laying some half decent verses. It's been done 1000 times already.

Lollipop maybe, but how to love? That'd been done so many thousands of times before, kanye did an entire album of it..

I think I agree with this. I don't know they haven't released "Light Up' with Justin Timberlake. The name alone would garner a large amount of itune sales/radio play. "Start a fire" may take too long to move up the charts, especially if they still plan on releasing the album on Dec. 9th.

whats funny is that wayne has said he's worked extremely hard on this album, but IMO has only been putting out alright/decent songs, not songs that you can tell he put effort in except for maybe 1 or 2 songs....we just have to wait and see what songs make the album

I liked Off Day alot...I think its a great song..dunno why people hate it..honeslty cant find a reason to hate it...

This, people forget that wayne's always done these types of songs everynow and again even during the BRA era.. I feel like people hate offday because of it's subject matter and nothing more.. I still play it.

nah , how to love wasn't like that mayne , it wasn't even hip-hop for me. But it was something different. I never liked it that much though and although C4 is one of my favorite albums that still dig every now and then , i never listen to that song. Mirror was something AWESOME that Wayne needs to do again.
People on MTV were whining about Start A Fire though from a quick glance in faebook. Christina Milian fans in fb were mad about Weezy too for some reason lol.
