It's kind of true. I don't think he is entirely irrelevant in the rap world, rappers still want him on their records and he still does heaps of features. He made Bandz a make her dance an absolute heater, and he murdered ross on thug cry. But as a whole, the kids buying records probably aren't feeling Wayne anymore. Everyone remembers him like they remember that one girl that got away. She's got three kids now and she has diabetes, but you think if she can just hit the gym for a few months and watch what she eats she can be that girl again.

Everyone hoping Wayne can recapture the magic of his mid career run. Only true Wayne fans know that's not possible, he is a different artist now and he will never make another c3

i think personally the label held him back. Remember when wayne did a song with mannie but baby didn't clear it because of his issues with him. Their could be a million of similar instances like that behind the scenes and we would never know. Plus cm burned a lot of bridges with producers so there's potential songs down the drain. So i can't wait to hear wayne without restrictions, notice how drake and nicki rarely have song issues but wayne has enough to last a lifetime. Dude is getting screwed over in his contract, it ain't that hard to see. I still believe that he has no control of what single drops either, detail already bounced after one album so what does that tell you.

this isn't the lil wayne, jeezy, ti, etc generation anymore. it's the young thug, migos, chief keef, rae sremmurd, etc generation now.

wayne's not "hot" anymore bcuz he's an og in the game. notice how these new rappers talk about him. he's not their competition. they're not tryna beat him they're tryna be him if you get what i'm saying. he's one of the ones they're looking up to.

This!! So true. He is an OG. He might be younger than some of these other cats, like Fabolous for example, but he is an OG now like Busta, like Snoop, like T.I., Jeezy, all those guys are achieving OG status now. They can sit back and, using a Curren$y line, peep it from a coaches point of view.

He needs to damage control though imo. LL Cool J tarnished his legacy with trash albums. Busta Rhymes is languishing as an independent..
