wonder wht the chances are of getting a song like this...hes got to reflect at sometime durin the album.. i would imagine.. hes gotten more beats than just upbeat street shit.. hmmmm

levels, to me, was this dedication 2 x drought 3 performance.

you have those few intro bars that remind me of throw some ki's, hes just sort of vibing, and crooning, but then he switches it up, nd blisters the track for two three minutes straight, with some of his tightest writing, weve heard in awhileee, and its non stop too, theres nothing weak, nothing corny or campy. its straight bars, and instead of the juelz feature like it wouldve been on d2, we have vado holding it down.


the reason i have it over no ceilings, is breadth and consistency. the beats were better, and theres nothing as weak as lets say break up, im good, wayne on me, i got no ceilings.

poke her face is cool,but nothing special, sweet little 16, but i might say that literally almost every verse on d5 is better than that one, doa, which he didnt really sink his teeth into, oh lets do it, and im single.

i probably take live life, still got that rock, and you song over no ceilings w birdman, w those being the original songs.. prolly missed some but even there its 3 to 1 ratio...

then what you have left is the top 4 records from no ceilings, swag surf, ice cream, watch my shoes, and banned from tv.

all pretty strong, personally not huge on the ice cream beat or watch my shoes, but he killed it.

but dont kill has all the bars of ice cream and watch my shoes, and doesnt have the redundancy of those two records, which.. are essentially the same...

type of way too, its all bars and doesnt fill the same sonic space..


banned from tv is probably better than cream, cos of length and delivery.. but i think the lyricism is sharper, grittier on cream.. and levels picks up.. in its absence neway... or if you want devastation doubles up...

smh, im stil leaving out records on d5 too, itchin is hot, think of you is hot, bugatti is hot, fuckin problems..

its just more sounds, strongver performances, more ambitious..

hmm especially w some of the other performances people champion from as being any good.. D5 is very easily his best project in 5 years, id rate it above no ceilings.. sorry 4 the wait, id rate it above dedication 3.. so thats 6 years or so.. not even sure there was a rap as vicious as what he did on levels on c3..


feels like theres a lot of sentiment and nostalgia goin on.. which really shouldnt be necessary.. if youre interested in wayne the artist express himself, then youve got to know/feel the difference and the departure in this content, than his recent output over the past few years..

and even then, it doesnt mean hes going to bat a thousand, but wayne works best with pace and bulk anyway, nd its almost always more good than bad...

For some reason all of Wayne's songs that are like that have been leaks. They never seem to make the album

It's still SHOCKING to me how slept on D5 is. And that's not comparing it to his shitty music he's been putting out over the last few years, he's got songs on D5 that people would have rocked with back in 2008-09.

D5 isn't that good, sorry to break it to you. D4 is better.

For some reason I'm just not excited for C5 anymore I have really no hype right at this moment don't know why it just the way that they been promoting has kinda thrown me off and I'm trying to keep up with the album but i really don't care all that much anymore

Took the words out of my mouth. I love d5 and also think it was the first sign of what's to come. I also think it's better than D3 but still can't say it's better than NC. And levels was honestly Un-fuck-wit-able even for vintage Weezy IMO. I don't think I've heard some shit that hard from him before. Something about it gives me chills
