Once again, stop comparing music to music that was released 8-9 years ago, and appreciate the good quality music we ARE getting now.
C5 will be legendary, and the fact we are getting more music after C5 satisfies me.Mississippi x California x North Carolina

lol i take any critique with a grain of salt, if it comes with a line from another rapper, especially when its current trend favorite drake.
believe me isnt drake featuring drake, as much as its drake trying to be wayne featuring wayne w a reprise of drake trying to be gucci, with wayne being wayne, on a hard 40 beat.
we've got be impressed by believe me as a single, because of its intention. for the first single to come out, and not try be commericially appealing, not trying to pander to a pop audience, but to come out and just have four hard verses, and not be entirely predicated off a catchy hoook.
is an exceptionally great thing, and it differs from the very pop approaches that were so bemoaned about.. even on carter 3, where we got the lollipop bullshit, the got money bullshit, the mrs officer bullshit.
or carter 4, where we got the corny mirrors bullshit.. the formulaic rehash of a milli in 6'7... and i dont even know what else...
krazy is probably in that milli, 6'7 vein.. but anyone thats been listening to wayne for any period of time, knows that long form, nearly hook free songs.. is sort of his shit. and hes not trying to recreate a milli either.
so what we have is wayne in an original creative space, working with pace and energy... and people still find ways to knock it, and praise older wacker shit.
krazy.
also lol at this notion of judging the album by how 'hype' you are over the singles. lol thats os fucking retarded, no correlation whatsoever.
"im not excited bout c5, because its marketing.... " the fuck has the internet done to music appreciation.Last edited by mode; 07-09-2014, 06:20 PM.
