Shits unheard of. A major legendary artist that doesnt chose his own songs or singles on his album?

U know damn well Jay-Z and Kanye hand pick their shit.

I can't think of an artists who wouldn't.. Maybe if you have an executive producer, like kanye on theophilius london album, or jay z on one of his rocafella artists albums, but even then you'd have the final word. It seems like Wayne just literally goes in the studio, gets given a beat, raps over it, then goes back to skating. Even in interviews if you notice, it's never about specific songs it's always about his recording process

Daamn... thats true. Anybody notice his production has suffered too? Like back in the day his production was almost as memorable as the raps. Now the production is whatever..

He needs to involve himself. Nobody wants an album he just half consciously rapped on and let ya girl give u her left over single to be your first single.

          • You guys can complain all day, and come up with strategy after strategy and everybody on this site could come up with a better promotion plan than what we've recieved so far... But it's not going to change.

If they push it back, I don't see us getting anything else besides another throwaway, and a actual single.

C5 is basically going to sell itself. It'll release, and probably do low numbers. But when word gets out that its a dope album, people will start buying. No matter how much promo they give us, the public still won't accept Wayne. This album is either going to break Wayne for good, or just get his name back out there as a legend.

back in the day cash money had guys like Mannie Fresh who could at least control the production side of things. Wayne falls in to the category of 'lets get whoever is hot' to produce. a lot of artists are like that. Rick Ross, Big Sean, in fact most. 2 Chainz etc. But the best records are when there is a theme.. Jay drives himself crazy looking for the right beat. Kanye is a control freak. Eminem does a lot of his own production.

that said, the production on the first IANAHB was dope. Gonorrhea, Single, Bill Gates.. Wayne can snap on ANY beat, but he needs focus, and just from watching documentarys and listening to his records, he doesnt provide that focus himself, he needs others to give it to him (Tez, Baby). If Tez and Baby are fucking up, things are gonna be fucked up (IANAHB2)

You right. I feel like if wayne is given amazing production from some real tested heavy hitters he has no option but to kill it

Its the "flavor of the month" type beats I hate hearing him on

Everything Wayne has dropped this year is levels better than anything we've gotten in years. Whether you like them or not, they are still lyrically better. Features and all. He hasn't really gave us a reason for us not to believe the album will be legendary.

He's even said himself it would be impossible for him to work this hard again. We'll find out when C5 releases, just like everybody else.

Thats true but "Krazy" and "Off day" are beyond wack. Soulja boy type records

Everythingg is real dope. However, Im still not confident in the album. DOpe features =/= dope album
