Back in the day a lot of people listened to Wayne projects mostly for well.... it was Weezy. Didn’t really matter how good the project was back then.... I think people will hear Tha Carter 5 and expect a more mature and higher quality of Wayne music and check for his quality more than just his star power.

Thats the point..wayne has to offer quality content..more then ever..i think the next project will show everyone if he still has it or not..i think he is capable of offering us one more classic..
Maybe take a 3-4months break from recording,then pick the best beats he can get;ben billions,infamous,mannie,swizz,kanye,boi 1da and so on..and he would deliver..

Im still afraid the next project will "only" sell about 200-350k
If he does a carter VI,and its a classic,a perfect rollout and a huge single with a video he also could seel 500-550k..

Its too early for these thoughts..just wanted to mention it

Of course we are all happy for wayne that he did those numbers...but lets not forget one thing;its tha carter series..and also the project had a lot of anticipation.

The question is,lets say he releases his next project next summer;rebirth 2,ianahb3, or something with a new name,will he still sale that much?
I kinda doubt it..lets not forget the first week numbers for rebirth,ianahb1&2.

As much as this new revitalized workin’ Wayne deserves to sell a lot, this was C5. So come on. A huge portion of the sales I’m sure were based on the hype and legend of it all.....

......it just so happened to be a fucking dope album! That’s what’ll keep people coming back and make it a true classic overall, not just in name. But no matter how good the record is you gotta figure a lot of 5-7 years history led to sales.

yeah fam..it will make or break him..in the eyes of the media and non hardcore fans wayne fell off the last years..he kinda made a comeback now with a solid project..would c5 suck he would have been done,but it wasnt hard to succeed like i said its tha carter 5,4years of waiting and lets not forget years of time to record and pick the best songs..

when the next record sucks and fails saleswise it wont look good..
if i would be on waynes team i would maybe release the second part of c5,or maybe take the best songs of c5 with all the other unreleased material,pick the best ones and release "tha carter:lost songs" or something this would give him time and then the next year release a new project with a huge rollout,best production and wayne trying his best and maybe give us a classic..
it would cement his legacy once and for all

Everyone has been talking about sales lately and what they expect him to sell but we all know wayne is the GOAT- doe every one really need him to sell 800k? Do people besides blogs even care about sales anymore? I feel like we are in a different time now, a lot of young kids are obsessed with uzi trippie and 69 these days and us older wayne fans have grown up.. for example my buddy was wayne over everything back in day! Asked him what he thought of carter 5 and he said he hadn’t heard yet- I looked at iTunes yesterday and 2 lil baby n gunna songs are ahead of Mona Lisa !!! I just think we in a diff time now with sales - Drake gets a lot of love from radio friendly singles, younger kid and most of all women! Why his sales are high, Wayne relies on mostly older men to carry him lol just my thoughts let me know sorry so long
