When we got the Open Safe snippet from the video where Wayne was skating to it, they were also playing an unreleased Song after Open Safe with a female singer doing the hook. I wanna have that too. Since Take It Slow comes right after Open Safe on the original tracklist, people were speculating it might be that. In any case, I wanna hear 2014 Carter V too.

Don't get me wrong, there's bound to be moments of fire on OG C5, but I think a lot of y'all misunderstand OG C5. There never was an OG C5. There is no such thing as a shelved Wayne project. By his own admission he was working on those tracks all these years, right up until a week before release. What Shkreli had was C5 at that moment in time. It was likely a rough mix of whatever was available at the moment Wayne was listening to it in his car -- if that's even the real story.
I would LOVE to hear Life of Mr. Carter, Mute and more... many snippets we've heard sound dope af. But I would say much more of what we heard sounded like garbage. I honestly don't want to hear Wayne rap like did on Krazy and Just Chillin anymore. That's like a step above IANAHB2 shit for real.
As fans many of us got stuck in a shit trap. That's when your standards are lower, but you still try to make the best of it. Like if you go to the office everyday and see some butt ass ugly ho , but then you see her everyday and eventually you're like aight not bad. lol. That was us Wayne fans for years. It got to the point where if he wasn't rapping like IANAHB2 that was somehow supposed to be a good thing! Fuck that.
C5 is the first front to back project Wayne has delivered since before prison where I don't have to skip tracks around ppl I know out of embarrassment. Even D6/D6R had a bunch of moments where I was just like ughhhh come on bruh. Ditto FWA and S4TW2. But overall on D6 we knew Wayne was passionate about rapping again, or at least as passionate as he was gonna get in 2018.
So C5 came out and the shit that still bugged me most about Wayne seemed like it also bothered someone else (Mack? Wayne? Tez? Don't know), because most of that shit was kept to a minimum. It's almost like the previous 10 projects since Rikers was research and development for C5. I don't know, it just hit on point and I'm a discerning Wayne listener. That's just me tho.
