The main issue I had with C4 was the overuse of the supa-dupa flow. Shit was ridiculous. Carter 5 is going to be better than C4, Believe Me.

C4 was below average compared to the rest of the music released in 2011 but it's still just average compared to Wayne's previous work.

My main concern with C4 was that supa dupa flow he used. The whole album (or at least vast majority of it) consisted of the same flow on every song. Believe Me has a flow that I personally enjoyed more than prob all his flows on C4 already + the cool delivery, dope lines like Nina one, and lyrics were on point.

i think believe me goes a lot harderthan she will, drake had to lie to wayne tlaking about them verses was hot.
waynes work on believe me is undeniable, hes a better rapper right now in this dedication 5/ carter 5 era.. than he was on dedication 4/carter 4.
i think dedication 4 was the beginning of him warming up, on some rap shit.
iamnhb2.. was probably him warming up his creativity...
i think dedication 5.. was a pretty actualised project.. he did what he wanted to there, and anybody whos been paying attenton, would know that hes been hot lately, on thugs cry, on senile, on believe me.. cos hes still feeeding off the energy that went into dedication 5.
he really does want to rap hard, and he wants to rap well.
for me, almost always, the best wayne rap songs, are the best wayne raps.
we're getting that more consistently than we have in awhile, and showing up in different spaces too, rap features, chris brownfeatures... hes kinda just killing shit everywhere..
hes in rap shape again and thats always gonna make his work stand out to the sort of flatter c4 period stuff.
@tyquan, john was crazy tho, up and up and away tooo.. those were fun.

i also dont buy the if such and such song was dropped today.. especially in regards to president carter...
that underestimates waynes fans, i know what wayne sounds like when hes on, i know when hes halfway there.. i know when hes trying something.. he's got soooooooo much music.. that its not hard to sort of understand where hes coming from..
and the pace that he rapped with on carter 4, just isnt his best pace... it felt deliberately slow, the conceptual records were heavy handed.. aka.. tryyying to be conceptual..
at least dr carter was so lofty, and he was able to make sound light and effortless, like yeah whatever.. president carter.. mirror.. how to love.. where all these " serious" songs.. but really i think it was just an attempt to sound serious, and conceptual, versus the concepts actually coming from a creative spot..
not to mention, c4 was filled with fortune cookie rap, over used flows... he was rusty for sure..
