Wayne is an entertainer, he is the first to admit he isn't in the same category as Jay and Em anymore. Or Nas. But just like all legends of hip hop, he did change the game. His run during the mid 00s influenced and changed the way mixtapes are made and released. His output during that period was insanity, pure quality and yet he was putting out 100s of tracks and guests a year.
Wayne is one of the most technically gifted emcees in the game, and lyrically his punchlines and similes are crazy sometimes, but because they sound so simplistic people don't take him seriously. He's no my favourite rapper, and I don't think he deserves GOAT status yet, but I think now as he gets older, slows his recording process down a bit and focusses on putting out quality over quantity, he will continue to build a legacy as one of the best in the game.
