wow , this thread gave me food for thought.
So my opinion is that , Birdman and Wayne must have started falling out with each other (heavily) since April-May. After YM:Rise of an Empire was released , we never trully saw them together again. Birdman started that RICH GANG shit with Thugga and Poor Homie Quan , and Wayne was with others. Twist,Euro,Mack,Tez,Scoob,Marley G and other people were always around him . Weezy Wednesdays , Carter V season , his interest for Tina...all those happened , but we never saw Weezy and Birdman together again.
The empire was not rising . The empire was falling.
Wayne winning this and getting out with his money and YM on his shoulders? This is pretty difficult! All the artists are tied up with CM. Tied up with chains . Everyone is a prisoner , and maybe...so is their creativity? Tyga couldn't get away and still can't release his album , Wayne has been fucked up too and couldn't release C5 . The small artists all have been pushed back to the max and never blew up too. All this comes to Drake and Nicki. What are they gonna do? Who are they gonna follow? They're pretty big etc. , but will they get their rights or something? I can't wait to see what's gonna happen next.

I think Drake will go with Weezy, no questions about that one for me. I think Tyga will come back if Weezy manages to get a label deal where Tyga can do his thing and still rep YM, we all know he and Wayne are still good friends
I really hope your right about T-Raww, I think there's been tension between bird and wayne and really every one in YM besides drake and Nikki because he wouldn't let anyone drop albums so all these artist are missing out on money and exposure. I really don't get it why sign all these people if your not gonna let them release music?

On or about February 20, 2003, Carter and Cash Money entered into a self-styled
"Memorandum of Agreement" (the "2003 Label Agreement") for the creation ofthe Young
Money Label joint venture for the common purpose ofthe manufacture, distribution, promotion
and exploitation ofrecordings containing the performances of new recording artists who would
be signed to the Young Money Label following approval by Carter and Cash Money, the sole
              owners ofthe joint venture.
The 2003 Label Agreement provided that, inter alia, after the deduction of a
distribution fee and costs, the profits ofthe Young Money Label would be divided 51%-49%
between Cash Money and Carter and ownership of all the Young Money Label property, (e.g.,
company recordings, copyrights, intellectual property, good will) would be similarly owned,
51%-49% between Cash Money and Carter, respectively..
Bra Birdman got more rights & Holds 2% more shares of YM then Weezy... So according to the law Birdman's the top Boss of every YM artist & only Wayne is Sueing Birdman... So, if Wayne win this case he'll get the money from the 49% of the company's worth not the whole label or its Name & if Drake, Nicki & other YM artists want to get off the label they'll have to file a separate Lawsuit just like chuckee did!!

I feel like Birdman and Slim believe they know what's best for the label as a whole, which sometimes means pushing back certain artists and allowing others to shine you know? At the end of the day, they are all a team and on the same side. The artists score the shots while you have Baby and Slim as the coaches. You don't just become the best coaches in the NBA from luck. These dudes are almost billionaires for good reasons. Times change, Hip-Hop changes and artists change. So you have to switch up how you manage these players -- marketing and the whole 9 yards. It's so much that goes in to marketing the artists other than just making the music, the talent is like only half the ball game when it comes to making millions of dollars.

It can definitely be a bitch right, being an eager artist and wanting to drop something dope but then your boss says no we have to wait. But it's the music business not the underground. It's just part of what comes with being signed to a conglomerate like Cash Money. You make the decisions for your talent and music but ultimately your a part of something bigger, you're not on your own and on the street making your own moves. You are representing something bigger.

Everyone looks at Birdman as evil now and I can see why it's because they all just listen to Wayne being Wayne fans. But there's lots of people who can see why Cash Money decided to push back C5.

                1. Lack of hype just being one major reason.
1A. Breaks down in to a lack of a groundbreaking single like Lollipop. Grindin' was dope, but 6 million is not enough views. Wayne needs that 100 million single again. Love Me was a great example, but that was released almost a year ago. I think he needs another one like this if he wants to see 1 million first week type numbers. Sales are the ultimate goal.

Then you'll have dudes saying oh well it's Wayne and he'll sell no matter what. That's that lay over and die mentality. He's the best and needs to be doing the best and more. Rappers always have core fan bases that'll support no matter what I guess.

That's just my take. That money is calling you dig. That's the music BUSINESS for you. If you want to have it any other way, stay in the underground and create music for your own reasons. Leave it in the basement and do it for the pleasure of doing it. Otherwise, step up playboy.
