they become irrelevant in the mainstream so quickly. take wayne: people will latch onto their favorite song or style from those peak years and hold him to that standard forever. everyone loves a different wayne. that's one of the funniest things about reading wayne reviews sometimes... one man's corny line is another man's golden line.

Fuck the press though honestly. They gave recovery a 2/10. They gave lupe 7/10 and some of the shit they rank higher, like chief keef, is just weird. Pitchfork just hop on whatever trend is hottest. There is this band called real estate, and they give every one of their fucking albums best new music, and it's trash! Low fi boring bullshit. But the hipsters love that stuff.

They gave Mac millers first album a 1/10. I gotta thank them for that cause I have a new rule. If pitchfork gives it less than 5 it's probably pretty good, so I cop it. It hasn't steered me wrong yet.
