so other than glory being the first original song we've heard in awhile..
im struggling to find a reason why people are saying this is a return to form or the best track in years(aside from it being an original track)
its very much a spaz, and he totally killed it.
but it bugs me when i see these articles talking about hes just now nice again.
especially, because glory is mostly about nothing.
lots of the nonsensical wordplay that we all know and love from wayne. him having more fun with words than anyone else knows how to...
but over the last two years, hes written bars w the depth of his perspective, and those are the ones that get overlooked. consistently.
hes got the craziest double standard ive ever seen in hiphop.
a. his music has to be perfect for it to be acclaimed at all.
b. if its too personal, too specific, the language too insular, then nobody listens. and worse, people claim hes not rapping well
but if like on glory.. he throws fireballs of fluff. all the sudden hes spitting again. but then, theres thee crowd saying he lacks content.
like maybe if you actually took to the time to listen to his lyrics, and spend less time critiquing it.. especially against his previous work.. in these terrible stale comparisons that say less about wayne, and more about the lame ass listener....
ppl would know hes betting spitting this entire time.
its crazy. ive never seen anything like waynes relationship w media, audience, criticism, and hype.
