so other than glory being the first original song we've heard in awhile..

im struggling to find a reason why people are saying this is a return to form or the best track in years(aside from it being an original track)

its very much a spaz, and he totally killed it.

but it bugs me when i see these articles talking about hes just now nice again.

especially, because glory is mostly about nothing.

lots of the nonsensical wordplay that we all know and love from wayne. him having more fun with words than anyone else knows how to...

but over the last two years, hes written bars w the depth of his perspective, and those are the ones that get overlooked. consistently.

hes got the craziest double standard ive ever seen in hiphop.

    a. his music has to be perfect for it to be acclaimed at all.

    b. if its too personal, too specific, the language too insular, then nobody listens. and worse, people claim hes not rapping well

but if like on glory.. he throws fireballs of fluff. all the sudden hes spitting again. but then, theres thee crowd saying he lacks content.

like maybe if you actually took to the time to listen to his lyrics, and spend less time critiquing it.. especially against his previous work.. in these terrible stale comparisons that say less about wayne, and more about the lame ass listener....

ppl would know hes betting spitting this entire time.

its crazy. ive never seen anything like waynes relationship w media, audience, criticism, and hype.

I just don't care about other people or these other sites.

they don't have their own opinions, they just try to fit in with everyone else.

thats why you only see me on LWHQ with Wayne fans.

most people on here keep it real.

other sites are dickriders and just try their hardest to fit in with whats cool.

Glory isnt about nothing.. it's about him being free and the best

But forget what other people think.

Wayne's been trying to return to form for a while now. Only wayne fans can notice it.. Even on garbage like "krazy" he was trying but his flow was all over the place bad and the chorus was ass. It's like he was stuck between spittin bars and fitting into what sounded cool out now

But on Glory he's like fuck it I'll do me and you all can try to catch up. That's why people love glory

its true.. i just think its a ssstrange way to treat our best writer. all things considers.. hes probably hiphops michael jackson.. but he doesnt get celebrated for it..

i think it gets deep.. possibly issues of race and class.. all types of fuck shit . its strange.

i get that.. overall and in principle..

but im speakin on bar to bar strength and consistency.

is it really better lyrically.. then levels.. or selsun blue.. hollyweezy

i think this is least substantial style.. but people seem to gravitate to it.. cos its so accessible.. cos its not really about anything.

you dont have to think like wayne, or know wayne, or listened to wayne.

you can just pop it in and play. its easy.

Ain't this the deal with most of wayne's songs tho?

It's Tunechi Homie, Master Of Ceremonies.

            i dont think so.

i think if youre really understanding wayne.. theres usually a lot going nn. its practicallyg biography, psychology, history. often all at once.

think if you dont know who wayne is, where hes from. or why he would think the way he does...

then youd miss a lot of the depth in his music.

think wayne fans feel it. and it brings them back to it.. and they get a sense of appreciation for it..

but if your a casual fan.. or even less than that.

i think probably 95% of waynes meaning goes over peoples heads. and not just the flashy wordplay.

Nah i get most of his lines.

I'm just saying that's usually wayne's style (was his style in his prime too) just throwing wordplay, clever metaphors and funny smilies on his songs, and that's what people loved about him the most ' the mainstream ' and somehow us fans too.

So when he drops a similiar song to that, that's what people want to hear. Sure they would praise it.

I'm not saying he doesn't have meaning on his songs, he does on alot of songs, but he's mainly popular for his wordlay, metaphors.. Etc

not you specifically, but i feel you.

thats my point tho. thats the easily accessible points of his music, and it seems like the only ones he ever gets credit for, everything else that makes him good is taken for granted or severely overlooked.

**this isnt really towards wayne fans. i think we get it. the general audience tho..

Exactly. This is him free. Making the music he wants to again. No more CM forcing him to try and make chart toppers.
"This that shit they didn't want me on"

But bollocks to the group-think cunts. Just a lot of people talking whilst knowing fuck all about the subject they're talking on.

One day everybody will recognise the magnitude of all Wayne has done.

thats true, i didnt think of the line that way. thats a good call.

                      tho at the same time...

dusse and krazy arent exactly built to be chart toppers.
