It fucking pains me to say this after seeing Wayne's exciting Phoenix-like rise from the ashes in 2015, but he kind of sucks again. Ever since NC2 (which was hit or miss in the end) Wayne has been slipping hard. I have heard a handful of features that sound like they're a few steps above IANAHB2. Collegrove was the worst shit he put out since that album. Now this new Ariana Grande single with its wack-ass corny punchlines and its hopped up IANAHB2 flow. Shit's tired. Nigga needs to hang it up cos he's gettin desperate now and it's obvious.

Again it fucking kills me to say this because I'm old school fandom, and I been rooting for this motherfucker all along, buying his shit-ass albums. Now we have to endure lines about his "grande" being grinded on (yes I get it. Still not clever) and that terrible biggie 2pac line. Seriously, any fan of good Wayne cannot think that's on par with his best wordplay. I saw some of y'all wetting your boxers over that shit. It ain't good... And THIS ain't good. We are moving backwards and I blame weak rappers like 2 chainz, Wayne wanting to be relevant like future and thug, Wayne being desperate as fuck to get out of debt, etc. I want original C5, not re-recorded. Previously I said the opposite, but now 2014 C5 singles Wayne is better than 2016 Collegrove and lame features Wayne.

Being a Wayne fan has become officially exhausting. I'm thinking I'm done. Maybe just be grateful he had such a great run when he did, and we got some dope bars and tracks in 2015. SFTW2 and FWA have now become his post-prison peak and it's just a letdown.

Collegrove was a fun album, which is what they said it was supposed to be. FWA was pretty good. NC2 wasn't good, but i don't care about it. How about wait for Wayne to actually release a project this year before making these dumb ass threads.

I get worked up over this shit for the same reason people get worked up over watching a sports team that was once great and doesn't consistently win anymore. we all hope. we all want him to hit a golden era again... now I don't think it'll be like 2007 ever again, but 2014-2015 was a period of huge growth for wayne. he was hungry and laying down dope bars again. FWA by far is his peak since before prison now. listen to livin right, listen to glory, listen to London roads, pull up, etc. he just aint doing shit like that anymore. since nc2 he is too caught up with the new kind of flow, like future and thug. and to the nigga who asked if thug and future are doing commercials for Samsung and whatever the fuck else: NO they are not. they're focused on their music and making it all it can be like wayne was in 2005-2008.

now believe me, I ain't saying they're even in his league, but they're on their grind. I'm sure one day they'll be in Samsung commercials or the equivalent of that, but right now I wish wayne would worry less about selling his name/image and more about making consistently good music

glad you agree with me. but the features thing I don't agree with. fat albert feature was good, and a few others. tbh the best shit we heard from him since FWA was that "what you saying" and "pour up" mixtape tracks. that was the last big bang. I thought we were on the cusp of a legendary wayne chapter again... and then shit just got weird. NC2 has dope tracks, beleeee dat! just marks where shit went weird. now I feel like he is stuck again. im hearin a whole lotta IANAHB2 type flows lately.

someone just force wayne to only ever do 90s/00s style beats and nothng else. he tries to get on new shit and it goes mad wrong
