Really? I honestly thought it sounded great. Idk if it matters but I use Tidal and that shit is crisp as a mf.... almost makes it hard to listen to recent mixtapes.

people that think Tidal is a “scam” should really give their lossless quality a try... changed a handful of albums for me.

By and large I agree with the OP. It really is like the ultimate Wayne album. There’s not much — if anything — that I skip. Even C2 and 3 had a few tracks I skipped sometimes (Shooter, grown man, pussy monster, la la, phone home) but that doesn’t happen much with C5. We’ll see how it all ages but so far so good. Classic album IMO.

Regarding the sound itself, this shit slaps. Gtfo

As ive said over and over again. to me. this album is perfect. I agree with the poster of this thread. U got everything. From love songs to deep songs with real life shit we can all relate to. and personally I cant skip 1 song off C5. and that's the perfect album. that's how u do a album. that's a true artist. not just rapper. artist.
They can do all they can do but they cant break unbreakable. They scared to face the truth cause they hate the view.

dont get it twisted bruh, I def fuck with phone home ... but it’s not a replay value track for me. C3 def NEEDS that album and I agree it’s key to the album. I wouldn’t want C3 without it, but sometimes it’s mad goofy for me. That hook and sound effects never aged well for me. It’s too much like early Eminem for me.

But again, great track just not a go to for me

Where did you get the album? What do you use to listen?
It sounds perfect to me and that is something I get really anal about. FWA was badly mixed but C5 sounds crisp and consistent.

Facts. I’m anal about that too (no homo lol) and C5 on Tidal and on CD sounds crystal clear and perfect at all volumes. Well balanced mix, nice vocals upfront but not too forward. Bass is retarded. Possibly best sounding Wayne project since C3 — both sonically and musically.

If niggas be listening to albums on anything less than true CDQ and still complaining I just smh. You can’t listen to some low quality Apple Music stream and say shit don’t sound good.

I will tell you the worst sounding Wayne project in the last ten years has to be D4. Granted it was only a mixtape but even Wayne’s mixtapes are well mixed and mastered usually. D4 has this weird compression pumping effect throughout. That actually really affected the listening experience for me. The vocals volume was constantly getting lower and louder. Overcompressed.

Exactly. Not only the sound quality but the earphones or speakers or whatever you're using to listen to it affects the sound in a huge way. Can completely change the way a song sounds.

One of the reasons I've barely listened to D4.

Bought it on iTunes and listened to it on Beats pro and rokit krk8 speakers. But I'm glad you can enjoy it for example there is a huge difference between dedicate (which was recorded for the original C5 and is mixed well) and famous where reginae sounds amazing even though she's not the best singer and has multiple voice tracks recorded that got mixed seperatly and then there is waynes part which sounds a little low compared to her singing. The engineer didn't really put much love into it... another example I can give is on the track Mona Lisa where waynes part once again was recorded for the original C5, besides the better mixing in general there are a lot of specials like the delay of "uh" and so on. I might sound very picky but sometimes it just sounds like they have thrown a present with a compressor and an EQ on it. That's also why Snoop and Wayne don't sound fitting on Dope Niggas.. Snoop is mixed properly with several voice tracks mixed together while waynes part is just "there". And I believe this is actually the reason why some people don't enjoy it

I hope I could explain a little more than just saying "i don't like the sound of it"

There are way to many novels being written in this thread.
I could sell Sweet and Low to Sugar Ray Leonard!!!

idk, but he's the one who's responsible for getting intergalactic love on C5 and someone needs to slap him for that.
