Carter 3 was redone after it leaked
Carter 4 was redone cause Wayne went to jail
Carter 5 was redone cause of the Birdman/Cash Money crap

Yeah C5 wasn't redone necessarily, just tweaked and updated to be better and modern (besides that garbage new STSOR among other duds but whatever).

But nah man C1 was def redone, Da Drought 1 and Carter Files are the leftovers from the 1st draft of the album when Wayne wanted the SQAD members all over the project. There is information out there about it but I don't have it on me atm. Some songs survived the redrafting though (despite having the SQAD verses removed) like We Don't and Tha Heat.

The original version of C2 had production handled entirely by Fresh like C1 and tbh some of those tracks were dope af and should have made the final cut regardless (peep what's my favorite song in my bio lol). Long story short, Birdman and Fresh had a falling out and due to this, all of Fresh's work was taken off the project and Wayne branched out to new producers. In a way it was best case scenario because it lead to some of the best production Wayne ever rapped on and the best album of his career but I still wish a couple Fresh songs made it anyway.

i listen to songs from the OG C2 very often.
did you notice that most of the songs are very chill and laid back, like - fresh`s blessings, do what u do, get real gangsta, that somebody, laced up, hood rich, be me, long time coming
