Nah not even, not like Eminem does, Wayne use to rap more slow and more swag..D6 and D6R Wayne started to spit really fast and use a bunch of syllables in his songs

yal both right. he def started using a faster flow consistntly since d6. dam near every song. i can see where [MENTION=89690]Settaz[/MENTION] says its not fast but its faster than we're acustomed to. however oh boy right, wayne been doin multi syllables since he came in the game with the hot boys. he def had a slower cadence, with more swag but the mutlis were always there. he didnt rap fast much but he did for sure here and there i.e reneagde, knuck if u buck, told yall etc. but yeah he didnt do it much and like he do it now.

but he prob just sayin his style is more similiar to eminems style now and he would keep up with the pace of a fast rapping eminem cuz thts what hes more acustomed to doin now unlike back then when they used to collab and his flow was a little more slow. so unlike them old songs wayne would go in with the pace of emineme making it maybe a more interesting collaboration. waynes form of killings songs now is rapping fast whereas back then it was his swag and unpredicatable flow and punclhines. oh boy is right but evn on songs like told yall he opens up saying "i usually dont do this" then proceeds to rap fast cuz hes right he susally dindt rap fast back then. that was a rarity wheras now it is his go to. if wayne were to come with a slower flow wed all be saying this sound like the old wayne, cuz he really dont rap like tht no more

Hmmm interesting. I always thought Wayne pioneered that sound for people like Thug and Fewtch and more often than not did it pretty well. In fact some of my favorite Wayne songs OAT have that melodic kind of sound, usually with some amount of auto tune.

With that said there’s a few tracks out there that aren’t done well.

he 100% pioneered the sounds its just his autotune usually seems way too heavy where as others it seems more balanced idk if that has to do with the engineer or whatever but yeah.

Does it feel kinda weird to anyone else having a project that isn’t just another sequel to something else? Like it’s refreshing to have a new stand alone thing for once from Wayne

Yep its very exciting feels like a breath of fresh air... most of sequels kind of have too much expectation due to the early projects not to say thats a bad thing but most times they are unfairly judged due to comparison
