So y’all feeling this album still ??

I haven’t listened to it since that first week
I often go back and listen to trap piano and Mahogany tho ...... and I see somebody say Mama Mia was the lead single? I hope that’s not true

Stop what? Funeral is basically D6 The Album. Same style. Wayne over trap/new age beats rapping fast and agressively. That being said, that style is not always for me, cause right now i prefer the laid back and chill Wayne from 2003-2006, so trap style Wayne is not for me right now, but i still love it and appreciate it. Funeral is a great album, especially if you wanna get hyped and bump something in the whip

There’s nothing on here like for nothing, nothing like family feud etc...... even the songs that I actually do like on Funeral don’t remind me of D6

Funeral lyrically is paper thin D6 was some of waynes best lyrical showcasing ever
Funeral even sonically is disappointing to many songs on there sound like shitty wanna be new age songs but wayne so out of touch that it sounds dusty and disjointed know what you know, ball hard, bing james, not me, darkside
i agree about it potentially coming down to song selection because there are moments that are great like mahogony, mama mia, harden, stop playin, wild dogs, bastard
but even then sometimes his delivery is flat one of the things i always loved about wayne was his voice highs and lows and inflections a lot of funeral he raps in that neutral deep voice which lacks energy and passion sounds like a poor mans gunna

i agree whole heartedly about bing james, know you know, not me and ball hard. but darkside is flames.

i had no expectations of this album so when i heard them first three tracks i was more than impressed. add darkisde, stop playin wit me, and waynes world to tht list and those are my songs too


10 songs form an album is still goat like status to me tho.

but i feel like wayne need to stop tryna making superstar albums. like stop trying to appeal to massess. he should go back to his carter 1, carter 2 formula and just give out the music he's feeling and the best work he has regardless of what fan base would like it and just put it out. he still making abums like hes going a mill in the first week. give the fans tht raw weezy. mannie fresh street runner weezy

idk if he cant inflect like tht anymore. he tried on bing james and it was a fail to me. tht nasaly smuckers, droppin seeds, mahogany like voice is his goat voice. or his stop playin wit me voice. the deep version.
