139K for "Funeral", it wasn't that bad. (without any promotion)

there was a rule change in october 2020 that affected sales. They havent been the same since bundles stopped counting (which funeral had).

compared to most mainstream 2020 rap albums, funeral either got outsold first week or overall.

also funeral had tons of promo, more than 2018 C5

C5 had like half a decade of him talking about it being his last album, songs like Dusse, Moment, We Alright etc, rapping about it on features, albums, mixtapes. The whole CM beef served as huge promo. He did a few TV spots and interviews etc. when Funeral dropped and there was social media stuff but there's no way it had more promo than C5 unless you're talking only about performances on TV and stuff like that... which he also did for C5.

Post album release I think argument can be made funeral had more promo than C5, but ya funeral did not have anywhere near history C5 did for �promo� pre album drop agreed there

All that other stuff is pretty insignificant compared to several years of hyping up and building anticipation. C5 and the fact that it wasn't out was central to Wayne's whole career for all that time, Funeral is just another album.
