I don't think the haters cares about Wayne proving something
Agree, I guess I mean that special breed of haters that seem lowkey obsessed with him
I also want to see a great album primarily cause whenever the end of his career is (hopefully not soon) I want to see him go out on a high note. And also because I think the album is kind of high stakes post Carter and post CM in the sense that it will be analyzed. But for me personally I almost see anything else we get from Wayne at this point as just a cherry on top. Selfishly, I want to be blown away. But birdseye I don't think he has anything to prove
WHO IN THE RAP WORLD doesnt consider it a classic.......??
what pits do you dust heads sleep in?
bro like its a classic but people people don't respect wayne as a lyricst . like when mentioning top albums in hip hop history everyone skips over wayne and the carters
im mainly talking about like major hip hop radio stations and figures (like radioheads and analysts in hip hop) and the "elitists" of hip hop

That's because Wayne has always been overlooked and hated. The man never got the respect he deserves. Let's be honest, Wayne is not for everyone, he is different than other rappers. He does not appeal to the masses. It took many years for Wayne to become a superstar, rappers like 50 Cent, Jay-Z, 2Pac, Nas, Biggie, Eminem became stars almost instantly, even T.I. and Ludacris has been selling much more in the beggining of their careers, T.I. for example has been selling great since his first album. The Game also, Kanye also, Young Jeezy also. Wayne is just different than them and he is better than all of them. He is definitely missunderstood, he himself thinks that. And tbh, there was some thing that didn't help him at all, like the Birdman kiss, The Tim Westwood freestyle, 2012-2013 period. In recent years he gets alot more respect than before, but even now if you look on the Blink 182 and Wayne mash up video you would see alot of hate and disrespect towards Wayne. It's sad that amazing artist like Lil Wayne is so hated and disrespected, but someone like Eminem who is basically a pop artist now is so loved.

💯 I agree that Wayne is different than most of those rappers but he always got respect & love around 2004-2008 but I think he should’ve never released Rebirth around that time that’s why people thought Wayne was selling out to gain different fan base which i don’t blame him but it wasn’t good idea for him to do & he is definitely miss understood due to his style of rap & being different
